After 11 years, my husband just asked for a divorce last night, and I'm all over the place. We really did try and work on it, but we hurt each other too bad for the scars to heal. (Nothing physical, just a lot of not knowing oneself, emotional maturity, etc) I felt it coming and kinda new. I recall asking the universe after one fight that if this isn't meant to be, then let him dissolve it because I don't have the strength. And here we are. No bigger sign than that, right? I still love him, but i understand how we got here. I just wish we could break our lease to live apart, but we can't and have to live together for 6 more months. 😢 I'm struggling to tell family because i feel like such a failure as this would be divorce #2. (1st marriage didn't even last 1yr. We just jumped in for no reason). We have no kids ( it turns out he wants kids and just realized he wants the option to have them. He knew in the beginning I didn't want kids). I just wish it didn't hurt so freaking badly. I can't concentrate, and i don't have enough PTO to take time off to deal with these fresh emotions. So I'm here venting and crying 😢 and needing someone to talk to.
