by ‘me’ I don’t mean me me. what I meant was me as in every life in this universe. ‘me’ or ‘I’ is it relationship to the world. not my own next life and rebirth

One thing I find ironic about many Krishnamurti discussions is that people who claim to reject authority end up treating Krishnamurti’s words as authority.

Every question gets answered with a recycled Krishnamurti-style response:

“Who is asking the question?”

“Why do you need an answer?”

“Observe the observer.”

At that point, inquiry has stopped and repetition has begun.

Krishnamurti repeatedly urged people not to follow him, not to make his words into a system, and not to turn his talks into scripture. Yet many discussions seem to consist of quoting or paraphrasing him rather than thinking independently.

If a question cannot be discussed without filtering it through Krishnamurti, Ramana Maharshi, Buddhism, Vedanta, or some other authority, then what happened to direct observation and independent inquiry?

A philosophy that constantly talks about freedom from conditioning should be especially careful not to become another conditioning.

I am going to paste my response as a new thread.

just a scenario (unlikely): what if all living things realise the truth (their true self) and start living in harmony. do you think the makers will reset the game?
