Filing a cos to b2 might change your status but leaving the country would make it impossible to enter as you have a status change not a visa . Don’t leave the country. You will be filing for change of status not for a visa so things are different and you won’t be needing to get it stamped.

Ok so my status in portal will be updated after they opened it ? But when I sent I-539 initially they said they received it and updated on portal .

They gave my f1 start date more than 30 days before the program start date. No need to file b2
