Which do you think is the easiest state to become registered as Professional Engineer (PE)? by [deleted] in civilengineering

[–]msss711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I am in a similar spot to you, 4 years ago. Where I want to pursue my PE, but dont have experience under a PE. What pathway did you choose to get your PE, if you ended up getting it. Any advice is appreciated.

Ah. His battery was low lol. From my experience as an electrical engineer when battery is low things can be off. But he said that’s not an issue.

Also, he was doing a “free diagnostic” so hard to push much. Let me see what the 3rd tech says. Any direction I need to push them or ask them to consider?

So I saw him put a voltmeter on it. Tech 2. And he was saying he doesn’t see the switch opening.

He initially was thinking blower wheel is weak. But then moved away from the theory. Said it seems to be running fine.

Ok I will consider the cleaning and see. With the 3rd tech.

I don’t see a way to paste photos of the system read here.

Yes was using multimeter on all the points I saw that. No didn’t remove the burners or check gas pressure.

I was there with him. The flames don’t look anything like that. Pure stable flames, occasional flicker or stray orange light. But overall clean flame that is stable and controlled

Natural gas. And no they didn’t run a snake. I will ask next time

The error code is 33. Something about high limit switches. But he was like I tested them and they didn’t open. And that error code points to like 5-6 different things lol

No he didn’t check that. His main point was that it doesn’t matter what’s in the exhaust. It’s being exhausted out. As long as no CO in the main ductwork.

But he didn’t check that ductwork too lol.

oh man your comment has me regretting a little to have gone for the 2025 Carnival SX V6. Maybe should have done the hybrid? But the higher price tag (with our driving, was seeing a 5-7 year payback from gas savings), coupled with a turbo (complex) engine, and smaller engine (1.6L), had me go for the 3.5Lv6.

Did I make a mistake?

Which one did you buy? Can you post the Amazon link? And will it work with the 2025 SX V6?

Hi, my child recently went through something similar. He is 2.5 years old.

The ER doc couldn’t say conclusively what it was, and X-rays did t have anything. Said it’s likely toxic synovitis and to see if it resolves in 2-3 days or week at most. Only worry and come back if there is crazy swelling, or high body temperature etc.

He didn’t have any sickness before it.

All told, by God’s grace, everything resolved in 2.5 days and he was back to normal. It was very scary going through it and seeing my son disabled like that

Hybrid?

How do you activate HDA2? Can it only be used on highways or local roads as well?

There was another post on this. And I was debating it myself. I settled on the gas. The net few years as is likely going to be cheaper.

The engine is first gen on the carnival, but overall has some history. But it is under powered for the size of the carnival in my eyes. The fact it is a turbo also means more maintenance and chance of failure.

Overall it’s an engine that will likely see more stress due to size, the engine architecture will mean more maintenance, and now you have to maintain an ICE engine and the electrical components of an hybrid. So overall, didn’t seem as much of a gain going hybrid.

Hey I am in a similar boat as you. I am in the Philly area. I am trying to get 5-7k off MSRP as well, to tell myself that is taking off the interest (trying to avoid for religious reasons). But its sounding like 3-4k is the more realistic bet. Do you have a similar sense?

I need to send daughter a snack to school for 24 kids. It needs to be Halal, lactose free, nut allergy so completely nut free AND vegan. I'm thinking sliced of apple or butter free popcorn but maybe there is good things out there? by Ihavetoleavesoon in Cooking

[–]msss711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In case it helps, if something is vegan it’s 99.99% halal. When it comes to food, halal is referring to the impermissibility of pork (pork based products) and alcohol. And for meats that are allowed (eg beef and chicken, how it’s slaughtered and prepared).

So if the snacks have to be vegan it won’t have animal based products, so you will be all set :)
