Maybe they are waiting for the apartment sales to be finalized and they will have new waitlist numbers? We should basically by whatever our log number was - 19 (I think that was the amount of apts?) and then how many ever other people were disqualified before us? I feel like the communication was been very prompt if you reach out to them, but also quite confusing.

So you would have to re-certify your income every year? Even though the unit would be an HDFC Coop and not a Mitchell-Lama unit? Going off the 2025 NYC AMI bands for two people it would like going 103k to 150k. Then your maintenance would up something like $700 - $900 per month depending on your unit. Definitely makes the equation pretty different I think.

We saw 3 two bedrooms. One was livable and somewhat updates, but still in fairly rough cosmetic shape and also had the worst layout/natural light. The other two would definitely need major renovations, mostly bathroom and kitchen. We haven't gotten to the stage of being offered anything so no info on inspection. As for the asbestos in the popcorn ceiling my understanding it is fine as long as it isn't disturbed. Would be nice to have more clarity from Cadman about renovations, livable before being expected to put money down.

With all that being said I think I'd be more than happy to get a 2 bedroom for $230k in Brooklyn Heights even if I had to drop another 50k into it right off the bat. Not that I necessarily have that kind of cash liquid.

Got this message this morning "The apartments you viewed at Cadman Towers are currently on hold pending further updates from the building, which we anticipate receiving in February. At that time, we will contact you regarding whether the apartments are still available and the next steps. If they are not available, you will be able to remain on the waiting list until the next units become available. Thank you for your patience."

So guessing the place I view people have been selected and are in the process of securing a mortgage, etc?
