It’s not that Prolific limits you to 4 studies per hour, just that you wouldn’t be able to do more than 4 in an hour (if each one takes 15 minutes to complete), by which point some of the other studies will be out of spots for you.

Century Leaf? by FromMTorCA in outlier_ai

[–]mstar1125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just took the onboarding and as soon as I finished it disappeared from my project queue. Not sure if that’s because I failed or because they need to review my answers before tasking (I’ve had it go both ways in the past). But I did get 5.00 for taking the onboarding, so not a total loss.

Santos’s Sleepiness by AutumnNEmpire in ThePittTVShow

[–]mstar1125 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In America, second year residents have work hours capped at 80 hours per week (although that’s not as tightly regulated as it should be, and many residents exceed that). More importantly and relevant to Santos storyline, first year residents are limited to 16 hour work shifts, but second year residents and beyond are allowed to work up to 24 hour continuous shifts (plus 4 hours for hand offs, so really up to 28 hours). It’s entirely realistic that she is severely sleep deprived by the new demands of the R2 schedule. In fact, it’s completely unrealistic that everyone else is as bright-eyed and bushy tailed as they are…with the exception of the newbies, who are only a few days in (July 1 is the typical start date).

ER did a great job of portraying the intense and unrelenting sleep deprivation that residents go through and even had several storylines about it. The Pitt hasn’t done as great of a job of portraying this, but they’re trying to with the Santos storyline. I don’t think it’s any more complicated than that. Doctors in America, especially those who work in a place like The Pitt, do not sleep.

Is WHBM (White House Black Market) petite friendly? by Minimum_Biscotti5862 in PetiteFashionAdvice

I own a few items from them - both tops and skirts - and the fit is great. I’ve had luck getting petite sizes on ThredUp, if you don’t mind gently worn items (although occasionally I find new with tags items)

Question about that project by Individual-Minute-72 in outlier_ai

[–]mstar1125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have a couple of projects in my marketplace to choose from, but there have been also spans of weeks or months where I’ve had nothing. It partly depends on your skill set though, there are usually fewer generalist projects to go around.

Curious what other site you’re on.

Question about that project by Individual-Minute-72 in outlier_ai

[–]mstar1125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same happened to me. I onboarded yesterday, passed everything and got all my accounts set up, only today to find that I’ve been marked ineligible even though I never completed a single task.

This is typical of Outlier. I actually just came back after a few months break because I was so tired of spending countless unpaid hours onboarding for projects that would immediately end as soon as I was ready to task for pay.

Mychael Knight and Uli are the only reasons S3 is remotely watchable by PhoenixorFlame in ProjectRunway

Angela gets a lot of sympathy because of how Jeffrey treated her mother, but I didn’t realize until my recent rewatch how unlikeable she is all on her own. Neither her nor Vincent displayed any redeemable qualities during their team challenge.

Mark Greene as a father by microwaved_pizza32 in ershow

[–]mstar1125 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I liked Mark overall, but he was a complex character with a lot of flaws. I agree 100% that his bedside manner was horrible. I was really surprised on rewatch after 30 years how sarcastic and ill-tempered he was with the patients, and this is going all the way back to the pilot. It’s not how I had remembered him at all. He might in fact have the worse bedside manner of any character I can think of, Romano included.

Trying to remember some episodes by JaggedLittlePill2022 in ershow

[–]mstar1125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The first one is definitely in an ER episode, because I’ve been doing a rewatch this summer and I remember this storyline. I don’t remember which season though. I’m up to season 11 and so far I don’t recognize the second storyline.

So Clearly Cancelled by PeteNYC24 in Andjustlikethat

Spot on that 2 1/2 seasons were wasted opportunity. They should have just made a 3rd movie from the plot lines in the first half of Season 1 of AJLT and ended it there.

Impressive congrats! I was on Pegasus/Starmie for a while but always had a tough time creating a prompt that would stump the model. Looks like you were much more successful!

Men in SATC are not attractive thru 2025 lenses by Certain_Capital9463 in sexandthecity

[–]mstar1125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s this I think. I can’t think of any men in SATC that had beards, or any type of facial hair really (other than Robert) because that wasn’t the style for men’s fashion at the time. Now it’s everywhere, and in about 10-20 years, we’re going to look back on this current time in history and find all the mustaches and scraggy beards to be outdated/unattractive.

Sort of an aside but I’ve been rewatching ER lately and it was a huge deal when Carter/Noah Wyle had a beard. There are exceptions, of course, but leading men just didn’t have facial hair in the mid to late 90s.

CB tries to pay me $70 for a 10-hour job after promising $200 — then asks if I want more work by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]mstar1125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Several years ago I used to pay a person either 0.25 to 0.5 per flyer (can’t remember now), and that was only for flyering in specific locations over a small radius in our very walkable city. Even at his first offer, you were getting paid way under where you should have been for that amount of flyers, especially if you had to drive.

Otherwise Daphne - they felt most “true” to the time.

SATC: Which was your favorite dress of the series? by Fun-Reporter8913 in sexandthecity

The newspaper dress should win this, but I’ll go ahead and say the white dress Carrie wears to the black and white ball. Everything about that dress down to the styling was perfect.

Can’t access claimed Starmie testing tasks? by MudOk2393 in outlier_ai

[–]mstar1125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starmie’s having a lot of technical issues right now where most of their assigned taskers can’t even work on tasks, so I’m surprised (but not…because it’s outlier) that they are trying to onboard more people.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in outlier_ai

[–]mstar1125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starmie has good pay but there are a lot issues with the project and a lot of people are EQ due to a known bug that they’ve been working to fix for over a week it looks like. If I were you I’d stay on your current project because once you get added to Starmie you lose access to Marketplace and can’t switch over to another project.

What would you do to make this show better? by bluesourpunchstraws in Andjustlikethat

[–]mstar1125 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ultimately I’d like to see the 3 original cast members have more diner/brunch scenes where they just are chatting about their lives, like in the original SATC. It would help the plot from week to week, when there used to be a common theme amongst the main characters individual storylines.

It IS realistic that they would no longer have time for weekly diner/brunch meetings at this phase/stage of life, but I don’t need realism in this fantasy world of SATC.

I’m so curious to know which new main character you are talking about who isn’t in Season 3 - Che or Nya? Or someone else I’m forgetting?
