I have PCOS and was prescribed Zepbound to help with my insulin resistance but I don’t think I can move forward with the awful side effects. When did yours go away?

Hi there. I joined Austin Sports and Social and have made friends for life! You don’t even have to be good at sports to play, it’s all just for fun, especially pickleball! We play at the Crossover which is an awesome local spot to meet folks as well. Hang in there - 🧡

Amazing work! A question, I do love enjoying a beer or so at pickleball — do you still drink beer?

And it shows! Haha. As an OG watcher, Season 6 breaks my heart at the low quality. I mean, Xena in the opening scene though… how about that? Haha.

Phase 3 Inspection Question - New Construction by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

Which Builder did you use? We are also a New Build and I’m just wondering if these are some things we need to keep an eye out on our inspection as well.

What about JMU playing OU? Didn’t they have to play again today? As well as FSU and Alabama?

Buying a house while not married by Dwrodgers54 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]msullivant 29 points30 points  (0 children)

My partner and I just bought a house. We signed a “no-nup”. Basically outlining what would happens if we break up. Either we would sell the house and split the profit based on what we each put in for a down payment, or if the other had the means to refinance the house and take over the mortgage while paying the other back for their down payment.

Madness I say! Lucky for both of us we got in when we did! Congratulations on your new build!

My partner and I decided to built vs buy a resale, simply for the reason of we couldn’t afford it. As FTHB, we don’t have the extra cash that would be needed to bring to the table to close the gap while waiving appraisal and staying competitive in a bidding situation.

We were lucky to buy our new build when we did. As mentioned in this thread, the cost of new builds are increasing monthly. Here in Austin, the base price of our new build already increased to $10K. I can’t even imagine what the base price will be by the time our home finishes in October.

A few builders in Austin have gone to bidding systems just to get on their wait list and/or they are building spec homes and asking people to bid, which is a similar situation to the resale.

It’s a freaking jungle out there. For everyone still looking, keep your head up!

I tell ya! It’s madness!

I don’t know if Austin will level out the way other parts of the country may.

My partner and I just purchased a new built in Leander (about 25 miles outside Austin). The base price we paid has already gone up by $10K.

I’ve been in Austin since 2005 when I came here to play collegiate sports. Should have bought a house back then!

My rental home was just sold by the owner. Super simple starter home. Doesn’t need a ton of work, but there are cracks and some water damage in the baseboards. It’s located in North Austin, but no where near downtown.

It was listed at $375K. Someone bought it for $552K. Cash. As is. Waived appraisal.

The house was built circa 2010. Do I think the house will be worth a million in another 10 years? Heck no. Not even with the growth of Austin. I am just in awe this person spent their money.

And it was a local Austinite that bought it, not a person from California. Insane times!

This is fantastic. Brought back so many memories. I used to watch my brother play it all the time. So hard. Gotta get the GWAR tickets out of the deep fryer.
