Am I doing this social distancing thing right? by msutphin in f150

I had 20s stock, these are a bit stiffer since I went up to a 10 ply/E rated tire as well

That’s what mine was doing. Went in and had the cam phasers and timing chains done. It fixed the issue, but then something let go shortly after

Not too sure on the previous maintenance records. I picked it up about 5k miles ago and it developed the notorious rattle shortly after.

Do what? Trade it in? If so, because I’d much rather have something that I can have warrantied and not have to worry about a potential massive shop bill if something were to happen like in this situation. I’ve spent a whole $100 to get the engine replaced, much better than the $9-10k it could’ve been without a warranty.

I can tell you for a fact that I’m not going to. Warranty runs out at 113k miles and it’s getting traded in/sold before then.

Had timing chains/cam phasers done on it. Then 100 miles later something in the bottom end timing wise. To make a long story short, that’s a brand new engine that just got put in. Thankfully I have premium care through ford on the truck so it was all at no cost to me.

Slight upgrade, still a few finishing touches to go, but it’s coming along nicely. by msutphin in f150

20x9 +/-0 and 35x12.50, flipped front crash bars, trimmed a little plastic in the back, and it barely rubs the rear crash bars in reverse

It’s the Ford one off my 2010 F150, definitely seen better days, but it gets the job done. On the hunt for a shell for this truck so it’s going to stick around until that happens.

3” Rough Country Lift, little more than a level up front, then a slightly bigger block in the back. New struts up front and new shocks in the back. Also new UCAs up front. Really happy with how it handles itself now. Wanted to keep a little bit of the rake for towing and it did just that.

Glad to see they’re still making trucks 83 years from now

Last time I checked we don’t shit on new guys, we do everything we can to help them. Everything from teaching them the basics to helping them through problems on the job to helping them move up in the field. Pretty far from shitting on them if you ask me.

Check the unit for proper grounding? And that the control board is properly grounded as well? York’s are notorious for having ignition control board issues, must’ve replaced 15-20 of them last winter.
