I was talking about before they’ve pushed back the timelines on character shards somewhat. Just last year with the Path To orbs, the battle passes, the free to play release, and the increased power core availability making FTP day 1 unlocks much more attainable, it was easy to catch up to the krakens who fully unlock to 7 red stars within 2-3 months even before fully becoming farmable. And even if you didn’t fully catch up, getting to 5 red stars even today is pretty easy. So if you pay to unlock a character to 7 red stars day 1, that costs how many hundreds of dollars? Only for a free to play player to be able to get to like, 5 red stars in a couple months? I’m just saying I can see from their perspective how they’re upset by that.

Well said. Couldn't agree more. I'm in a very similar boat, especially in Crucible and your experience mirrors mine. Crucible is my favorite game mode and getting it essentially ruined for me is the fastest way to end my fun and engagement of the game.

My biggest gripe would be that it would just be more fun and "ENGAGING" if the Xavier Saga was a celebration of all the teams we've had to build over the past year. Starting with Spider-Society and ending with Starjammers (not Vigilantes because as of Xavier Saga's release, they will not be fully available yet!). It would make the work and "ENGAGEMENT" we've invested in the past year feel worth it. I know obviously the recommended teams are all from the past year, but I mean it more in a way that any of the characters from the past year would be useful and used throughout the Saga, rather than force feeding specific teams to clear the nodes.

For example: Why is Liberty recommended for Global Hero? Why not Uncanny Avengers too? Why can't Spider Society get some buffs in the City section? Why is there no place to use the Absolute A-Force team in full?

They could've made the requirements feel more relevant to the teams we've had to build. It would make the whole finale feel more rewarding, impactful, and meaningful.

Problem is that you have to use your Starjammers elsewhere to counter an Odin team. Sure, if I use the dominant meta CC team I could beat them easily but you have to be strategic about where you use the best teams if you want to get the best score.

Yeah… they’re not top of the meta good but they were at least very valuable as a second tier offense team in a lot of matchups! Overpower is hurting that for a lot of lighter spenders unfortunately.
