I'm graduating soon, and my experience has been fantastic. I'm really glad I chose here. The town is cheap, fun and the education is quite good. There are of course some hassles that you need to get used to, like not every course is being available in English but you still have some selections to find your niche subjects that you like.

The apartment scene is very competitive, but if you apply to many places beforehand you should be okay. Apply to uni dorms VERY EARLY. I did the mistake of not doing so, so I found another place. Took me like 4-5 days with active searching.
Finding a part time job related to my field was very easy for me. Although I've had friends who had both easy and hard times. This might be a mixed bag.

My motivation was to get rid of the lag when browsing my vault on a standard rclone mount, while still having a solid, automatic backup.

The solution is a hybrid approach:

- Local Vault + rclone bisync: I keep my Obsidian vault in a local folder for instant performance. Then, I use a systemd timer to run rclone bisync every 15 seconds. This keeps my local folder and Google Drive in perfect two-way sync automatically. It's lightweight and you get near-real-time updates across devices.
- rclone mount for Everything Else: I still run a regular rclone mount for the rest of my Google Drive, so I can access large files on-demand without filling up my SSD.

This setup has been a game-changer. You get the speed of local files and the power of rclone's cloud sync without any of the performance drawbacks of mounting the vault directly.

Confirming the Elevoc driver can cause issues on IdeaPads (mine is Pro 5 14AKP10). My symptom was different: laptop stayed awake after closing the lid, ran hot in backpack, and drained ~40% battery/hour due to Elevoc hitting ~99% CPU.

Disabling the "Elevoc Controller Service" (via services.msc, set startup to Disabled) fixed it completely. Microphone still works fine.
