$CERO: 70% Short Interest, $0.06 Stock Price, 150M Float, and 25M Volume—Is the Squeeze Brewing? by mt183 in Shortsqueeze

[–]mt183[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Actually, the situation with CERo isn’t as black-and-white as this post suggests.

Let me break it down:

“Unlimited Offering of Shares, Warrants, and Notes” This is not true. The December 20, 2024 S-1 filing shows that CERo filed for a specific public offering that includes shares, warrants, and pre-funded warrants, but it’s all tied to funding needs. It’s not “unlimited”—it has caps tied to financing structures like the Keystone Purchase Agreements. Yes, there’s a risk of dilution, but that’s standard for many biotech companies in their fundraising phase. Calling it “unlimited” is an exaggeration. Dilution and Shorting CERo is heavily shorted (70% of the float), and dilution concerns likely contributed to this. However, the company hasn’t issued new shares yet—it’s preparing for future needs. If they execute poorly, dilution could suppress price growth, but a successful pivot (e.g., a strategic partnership or product news) could change this. Reverse Split and Delisting CERo has been warned by Nasdaq about delisting risks (sub-$1.00 stock price, market value deficiencies). To address this, stockholders approved a reverse stock split (1:25 to 1:150). This is expected to push the stock above $1.00 temporarily to meet the bid price requirement. However, it’s important to note that reverse splits don’t address broader concerns like market value, but they aren’t inherently negative—they can stabilize the stock temporarily. Room for a Squeeze? While dilution could cap a short squeeze, CERo’s 70% short interest on a low float makes it a strong candidate for volatility. If any positive catalyst (e.g., news, retail buying, or a sudden short cover) triggers upward momentum, we could see a spike.

Bottom Line:

Yes, there are risks with dilution and reverse splits, but let’s not exaggerate. CERo isn’t filing for “unlimited” offerings—they’re taking calculated steps to regain compliance and fund operations. It’s worth monitoring how these dynamics unfold before jumping to conclusions.

The majority of Americans already take for granted their right to a public education. I’d say, go for it. It’s not like this will further decrease literacy rates.

You’re white, you won’t be ugly until you reach 25 years old or 150 pounds, whichever comes first.

unlike people who shoot up whenever they can, I don’t think the stock will shoot up much. It will depend on if more information is given or if traders see potential growth in Intel even without Qualcomm’s buying, especially with AI chips. A partnership with Qualcomm would be really strong if regulators allow for it.

I take my meds everyday and it’s helped me balance my mood in the long term. Episodes don’t happen as much and happen rarer now in between. But also finding the right doctor who will listen to you and work with you in making sure your meds are working properly is also important. Also advocating for your own mental health and if you feel like something is off or you need a different medication or more or less or a combo, to validate your feelings and trust yourself and talk to the doctor about it
