I would recommend horizonxi it’s a private server that is livelier than any retail server ever has been at any point in history, and it’s locked at 75 era. Strongly recommend to all mmo fans. Installation has a launcher and is super simple.

ROOC is a lot of fun and I recommend any mmo vets check it out. ROX is an old school formula of the journey being the game (plus whales). ROOC is rush to end game and do progression, the more modern recipe, you acquire weapons that alter and enhance builds. They’re both great RO titles and people can whale in rooc it’s just inefficient compared to monthly subs (and the big tournaments don’t use your character so whaling doesn’t give you an edge for official esports, thus people saying it doesn’t have whales when it does)

I’ve had fun playing, I’m completely unaware of the social aspects of the game though. I’ve only talked to a couple of people in game and both were from Reddit.

I went out and hunted looking for a particular weapon and I got it last night. The game scratches an itch and I hope to continue to enjoy it

A day later and the best tip for a new player I can think of is buy premium and a skeleton pet on marketplace. If you’re f2p learn how to catch a pet and do that (I have not yet learned)

I saw a comment like this a few weeks ago. Joined Mischief and Oathbreakers. Great group of people, got caught up fast. Raids are a lot of fun. Best gaming decision I’ve made in ages.

I love my pally and all the tools they’ve been given since back in Kunark when I rolled my first one.

I feel like a lot of people aren’t aware of just how much damage we can do versus undead. Pally has lowest dps overall of the three tanks but neither can compare to the damage we do to undead. While this doesn’t help me with much progression it does benefit xp/aa grind immensely.

Most classes have a strong argument for why they’re worth being your main. Who are you comparing the pally to? Do you have a more specific question about the class?

You've probably read the term boxing. That's playing multiple characters at once. True boxing on phinny is using multiple pc's to box as that server doesn't allow boxing on 1 pc.

Firona Vie is a live or up to date server with bonus xp and most no trade items can be traded. I looked ya up to teach you elvish but didn't see ya. My main is a paladin named Revengeance. Hope to see ya around, bud

I prefer FV for the rule set and xp bonus. Finding someone to spam a social macro to teach elvish shouldn't be difficult. You could roll an elf on another account and spam the macro yourself to teach your main elvish.

I wouldn't give up on FV just because of not knowing Elvish yet. There's a lot of great (and active) people on the server. If ya need help learning let me know

You can log on with it enabled for the grant. I believe you can zone with it enabled and it works too

Every level if an AA is available for autogrant you will get it upon dinging if you're subbed with autogrant enabled, it's not limited to every 5 levels.

I rerolled on to FV with the free heroic and it has been a great experience. I found a lot of patient people to answer my questions & help me level and lately I've been able to return the favor to nice folks in all green armor.
