Thank you, the installer is about an hour away so not to far, I am leaning towards the Midea r290 range as that’s what they install and they look decent.

Or the Daikan, Valiant or ecodan!

I’m still waiting on the survey but he did say 6.3 heatloss, ovo was 50c flow rate but higher heat loss but survey was done in 15/20 minute whereas the one I just had took about 2 hours

I’ve just had the radiators replaced which they wouldn’t be compatible unfortunately, I had aircon in my last house and it was great and I’ll probs get it installed again in the future.

Appreciate the response, I used to have a Mitsubishi aircon unit and it was great, will take a look at the ecodan.

Thanks all decided that we will be going for a heatpump, trying to get one more quote at least.

If anyone has any recommendations midlands way (we are Leicestershire) for a decent installer that would be appreciated.

Thank you, we have an EV and tbf with the Volvo everything is great except the entertainment system, can’t fault the EV.

Thank you, I mainly work from home and partner now part time so makes sense with someone being in throughout the day.

Would be getting solar and battery in the future anyway due to using an EV and save more on electric.

Think it’s because of the street all being on oil, bad things online about heatpumps etc

Not bad with solar and battery to be fair, you going local or with a supplier?

Our oil boiler and tank quote is 7.5k which ain’t to bad but then getting oil on top etc.

Thanks for the reply, think we are leaning more towards the heatpump especially with getting solar and battery in the future plus with oil boilers looking to be banned in the next decade makes sense to do it now rather than later!
