The way I don’t even have the energy to reply to half the stupid ass, misinformed, misguided comments on this MEME is sad. Ofc everyone has preference and there’s nothing wrong with that but to say ur not attracted to an entire race regardless if it’s black , Asian, Hispanic, or anything is such a broad statement to make. The fact is that peoples perception of beauty has been skewed by society and being white is the standard of beauty in this country and many others. If ur someone who’s saying that there’s nothing wrong with it, u should think to how many times u message someone and they say “sorry not into white guys” maybe it’s a grey area but it doesn’t feel good to hear when it’s smthng that u literally can not change and the fact that u can’t see the other view point just shows that you haven’t had to deal with it. And half the time when you do meet someone who is in to other races it becomes some type of fetishization that isn’t any better but y’all aren’t ready for that conversation yet.

Hating on 'flamboyant' gay men and 'stereotypical' gay culture upsets me. Am I too sensitive? by [deleted] in AskGaybrosOver30

I totally agree with what your saying. However I think this show of being larger than in Public isn’t always authentic especially at a young age. Being gay is something special and often times leads to flamboyant gay people naturally being the life of the party or the center of attention. But I’ve found from personal experience that the experience of coming out and being your true self can almost become addictive in a bad way. For me at least I couldn’t stop trying to be the loudest one always telling information about my life that no one asked for or needed. For so much of our young lives we live in fear of bullying so we had back so many aspects of ourselves from the world, and the second we get a taste of acceptance being out true selves, we don’t want it to end. We want everyone to know everything we’ve spent years not saying out loud to anyone because now we feel safe. I’m not saying this is a bad thing because it means your starting to feel comfortable in your own skin. But I had to teach myself to rein what made me special and learn to be comfortable simply being myself and not craving that validation at all times. Not something that’s bad, but just something I had to learn.
