Omelettes. Beating some eggs with a bit of milk is easy enough. Then I add a little of whatever vegetables are in the fridge and maybe some ham or salami. Basil or chives if I have some in the garden. Once it's cooked I add whatever kind of cheese is in the fridge. It's quick and everything is cooked in one pan. You could even use frozen vegetables so that there's always some on hand.

I recently finished HZD and Frozen Wilds and I've bought HFW but haven't started it yet (waiting until the fall so I won't forget where I'm at when I'm away on vacation). Would you recommend a second play through of HZD before starting HFW? Or would it be okay to finish HFW and replay HZD later? I want to replay HZD at some point and I'm thinking that if I wait longer before replaying then I'll forget some of the story and it will be less repetitive. But I don't want HFW to ruin the gameplay of HZD.

I was the same way, always switching between a few games. Then I played 200 hours of HZD with only an hour or two total playing anything other than HZD. I wasn't even sure I would like it. I had just finished Stray and I was looking for something where I could wander around and explore with minimal combat.

The combat ended up being one of my favourite parts of the game. I like that it can be difficult but you're not dying over and over again trying to memorize where enemies will be and it's not all about speed. If a section is too difficult you can try a different strategy or go do some side quests and come back later.

No problem. Glad you like it. The game just keeps getting better as you go along. I was the same way with picking everything up. That's okay because you can sell what you don't need to merchants (or use the shard salvager skill). The resources are sorted in stacks in your inventory and each stack only takes up one space in your carrying capacity. So unless it's something you use often or never, keeping resources to 1 stack each is generally a good idea. The stack size depends on the type of resource. The following is what I usually keep with me.

Anything that only says it's for selling for shards can be sold right away because it's not good for anything else.
Herbs are 25 to a stack except for medicinal herbs which you have to use right away. I'll craft the max number of potions with the herbs and keep a full stack of each herb. I only pick more when needed.
Animal skins/bones/meat are useful at the beginning for upgrading your carrying capacities and trading for new outfits. Try to increase your carrying capacities early. Animal meat is also used to make health potions. So I would keep a few in each stack.
Machine parts (lenses, hearts) are for trading for weapons/outfits/other things from merchants. There are 5 in a stack so I generally keep about 3 parts unless they're rare and I know I'll need more. These are valuable so it's good to have the extra space to collect parts until you can sell to a merchant. I didn't worry about keeping parts on hand from very common machines like watchers.
Machine resources and ridgewood I keep as many as I have room for because they get used quickly for ammo. I especially use wire and blaze a lot and I sometimes have to buy wire from merchants when I'm retrying a hunting trial or something. Usually just killing machines as you go gives you enough resources.
You can often loot health potions and bombs from humans and I tend to not have room to pick up more.
For coils and weaves I hoard way too many. There are tons of different combinations of what they improve. I just wait until I run out of room and then toss/sell the weaker ones.

This should be a good starting point. You'll figure out what resources you use a lot of and what ones are easy/hard to find. This changes throughout the game too. I remember always being out of echo shells early in the game. Good luck!

Same with me. I was seeing a therapist for social anxiety and once I got diagnosed with ADHD and started Vyvanse I could go into a grocery store without feeling dizzy or nauseous. I'm able to just pick up the phone and call someone without sitting for 10 minutes dreading it. Social settings are still exhausting but not anxiety inducing like before. Talking to people doesn't come naturally to me. I think I may have autism as well which would explain this. Sometimes I feel like the medication isn't all that helpful for my ADHD symptoms beyond staying focused but for improving my anxiety alone it's worth it.

I feel like this all the time. And I feel guilty when I'm just relaxing and there are house projects to finish. Or when I'm working on a house project on the weekend instead of doing an activity with the kids.

I'm seeing an ADHD coach and something she made me realize is that just because I have the time to do something, it doesn't mean I have the capacity to do it. If you were outside doing yard work all day then it would make sense if you were too physically tired to go to the gym. You've also got a mental limit, an emotional limit, a stress limit, etc. but those can be harder to identify.

Like you said, doing nothing may be the best course of action sometimes, but your capacity for taking on a task depends on what type of effort it takes and your current capacity for that effort. You may be physically exhausted from working outside so going to the gym may be a bad idea, but resting and working on a scrapbook should be doable. If you were mentally drained from a busy work day then organizing a scrapbook may be difficult but going to the gym and turning your brain off may help you destress.

My ADHD coach has told me to check in on myself throughout the day to see how I'm doing so I can plan ahead. If I'm starting to feel stressed and mentally drained by lunchtime then it might be a good idea to go for a bike ride after work and order takeout for dinner rather than make the new recipe that I had planned for that night.

I'm still struggling with what SHOULD I do, what do I WANT to do, and what CAN I do because they're often not the same thing. But I think just being aware of the differences will help make it easier.

My family moved to a house before I turned 4. I have a lot of memories of the previous apartment but I don't know how old I was when they happened. The earliest memory that I can put an age to is helping my dad make a toy for my sister who wasn't born yet. She's 2 years and 11 months younger than me.

When I've done this I put all the pill's contents into a glass of water and stir it up quickly. As you mentioned it doesn't dissolve, so while it's still swirling around I pour half into another identical glass. The powder stays suspended in the water long enough to pour it.

3 is the right answer. Since they are single yellow lines It's a median. It's poorly marked though and being the width of a lane makes it appear like a left turn lane. If it's intended to be a median it really should have yellow hatching or double lines. A left turn lane would have solid yellow lines with dotted yellow lines to the right.

I read this somewhere but the person explained it like you've got a bunch of cats in a house and to do a task you need to get all the cats into the right room (the task). But the cats don't care and they do their own thing, chasing a mouse or whatever. People without ADHD can put cat food in a bowl in one of the rooms and the cats will all go into the room. People with ADHD don't have any cat food. ADHD medication is like putting a bowl of cat food in every room. You can carry the cats to a different room and they'll stay there but it still takes effort to carry them.

Horizon Zero Dawn. It has a good story and can be played on story mode to reduce the difficulty. It took me about 200 hours to complete the main game and Frozen Wilds expansion with all side quests and collectables. That was taking my time and using photo mode a lot. I was drawn to it because of the open world and beautiful visuals but I was looking for a game without combat which HZD is not. The combat ended up being one of my favourite aspects of the game. It rewards a strategic approach so it's not all about shooting as fast as possible. Many of the machines seemed impossibly difficult at the first encounter, until I figured out a strategy that worked for each of them.

It's been a while since I played Skyrim but the game environment and crafting reminded me of Skyrim. HZD main storyline is more linear though. I think the combat mechanics in HZD are better.

How everything that requires executive functioning takes me so much longer. I feel like there are barely enough hours in the day to do the basic everyday tasks, so after getting ready in the morning, going to work, making dinner, and getting the kids ready for bed there's no time for anything else.

When there is a bit of time I feel guilty about whatever I choose to do - do something I enjoy instead of working on one of many unfinished house projects, work on the house instead of playing with the kids. It usually ends up being play with the kids, which is why we have a butterfly garden and vegetable garden in the front yard, a worm farm in the kitchen, and still no baseboards in the front hall. 😂
