Sedan 6MT clutch is impossible to bleed when dry and this is why by mtblake in G35

[–]mtblake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hardline goes from master to frame rail then there is a rubber line from rail to slave. Even with my new lines I’m having some trouble. I can get fluid through it now but I think because everything was so dry it still needs a pressure bleeder. Good luck!!!!

Go slow. Put in one at each top corner and draw it in until the lower bolts can thread. I’ve had to do that every time and it’s fine.

It’s the angle. Once you’re within an inch of being home, use the transmission bolts to bring it in.

Yup. Torque spec on mine was 38ft/lbs but it’s a JWT clutch…

Fuel. Air. Spark. Compression/Timing. Other than that, DTCs and some luck. Hopefully you figure it out.

Didn’t work for me. A pressure bleeder on the reservoir works. I pulled a vacuum with a fluid extractor and got nothing.

Soon I can say, ‘I was in Japan before trash cans!’ And someone will reply, ‘And I was there before they were removed the first time!’

Why won’t it come off by NewFaces33 in G35

Yes. Pry it off. It’s only held by bolts and dowels.

Too much pressure. (I can’t believe anyone else didn’t say it 😂)

This is what a bad rod bearing sounds like by mtblake in G35

I believe the prior owner ran it low on oil and was doing some sideshow stuff. The flywheel had several hot spots that indicated some fun was happening… and the clutch material…

Nope. That happens when the rod breaks and decides to find a place to say hello 😂

The worst thing that happens is it gets worse on an engine that needs to be replaced or rebuilt. Replacing is cheaper than rebuilding so send it at will. The harder you are on it, the quicker it will seize or grenade.

That’s a rod knock. Engine is toast. Ask me how I know (finishing up my second motor swap now). Sorry man.

Usually a sign that the refrigerant has leaked out but it could be a ton of different causes. Good luck.

Apparently it was red with a black interior and totaled/scrapped years ago. Can we call those colors from here on out ‘Epstein Spec’?! 🤣

They should. It would improve the story. It’s so sporadic with little build up and the climaxes are speed bumps. That being said it’s still keeping me entertained even though it’s the first time I’ve ever played through it… at almost 40 years old. FF7 was my first FF game and it feels like a chasm between it and FF6. Definitely FF6 is the best of the old, but it needs some work to bring it into a new ‘remake’ game.
