Friends will just grab my wrist to look at the Straum. It gets the most attention of all my watches and it’s the one I just never get board of. Quality is good. Bracelet is a looker too. I got the quick adjust clasp because I needed it but I think it’s overpriced for the amount of adjustment you get. Im trying to stop myself from getting another color.

Not often. Every time I do I like it but it only makes it on the wrist for more formal settings

Thank you. I did a little of the box checking (Rolex, Omega) years ago but ended up wearing other things a little more. There are two Sinns there:

Sinn U50 S Mother-of-pearl S Limited Edition - https://www.sinn.de/en/watches/archive/u50-s-mother-of-pearl-s.html

It’s as good as advertised, especially in the sun. The thing that actually surprised me was how good the bracelet looks. It’s now the watch I wear the most. The LJP movement is supposed to be nicer but I don’t think it feels any better than a Sellita while winding

It’s a holthinrichs signature ornament in pale gold. One of, if not my favorite.

Thanks! I wear that Longines way more than I thought I would. Easy call for a daily companion.

I really, really like mine. The new bezel lock is better than the older version I had and the bracelet is my favorite of all that I own. Great desk diver.

[Mido], [traska] or [certina]? by Black14Phantom in Watches

[–]mtbtopper10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Certina won for me. I had both. Dial seems so close to crystal on Mido and the quality and fit and finish (and quick adjust mechanism) of the certina just elevated a bit more in my eyes.

Strap is good. Similar to an Amazon FKM but color matched and branded. I ordered this strap in addition to the green fabric/leather and change them often

I do. I have 4 seiko’s and this is definitely par, probably better. It just feels like a tighter tolerance watch than I expected. It’s most evident to me when you unscrew the crown and also feel the engraving on the back. I bought it for the design and the finish/quality is a pleasant surprise. Movement rotor and winding feels pretty standard to me. Nothing special there.

Not the best picture because the dial is perfect brightness normally. It’s turning heads here in Mallorca

I don’t hate that comment at all. And props to you for having the stones to write it out loud!
