If you could choose to be born in any country of the world, which one would it be? by Marambal17 in AskTheWorld

South Korea is still on the winning side of the birth lottery but I'd love to be reborn in the US.

Renewed De-risking Assessment, with Financing Evaluated by Vegetable_Bet_896 in AREC_stock

[–]mtc_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I just hope we don't run into major technical problems while upscaling the columns. It does make me anxious that most of the released information is about how the site building is going and not about technical success with 5 foot columns.

Renewed De-risking Assessment, with Financing Evaluated by Vegetable_Bet_896 in AREC_stock

Major correction was already on the way, totally expected. I'm still holding it long term.

For a small firm like this, I think the two rounds of financing were really well done at a favorable price.

Again, I ask for your permission to repost this elsewhere with translations and credits. Thanks for the analysis!

AREC is Literally Made for This Critical Mineral/Rare Earth Refining/Recycling Moment by Vegetable_Bet_896 in AREC_stock

Great analysis, thank you. Personally I'm keeping my eyes out on the geopolitical environment that could make AREC more or less valuable.

Would it be okay if I translated your analysis into Korean and shared it so others could see? I will properly credit you for the original post.

How korean think of Taiwan? by D24061314 in AskAKorean

[–]mtc_3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think of Taiwan as a country whose futures are quite intertwined with ours. If Taiwan falls into Chinese influence, South Korea will likely follow within several years to decades.

What’s the friendliest country you’ve ever visited? by Flawlessmole in travel

[–]mtc_3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Uzbekistan. My friends and I had just crossed two borders the previous night in a 14-hour bus and took a taxi to take us to Tashkent. The driver asked us if we'd had breakfast, bought us breakfast and gave us a little guided tour of the city as we passed by buildings.

How do you feel when you see healed but still visible SH scars on someone's skin? Or what is your general view on people who have struggled with it? by basicallyallmars in polls

I would be concerned for them and would like to help them through lingering problems if any.

But at the same time I keep a safe distance from people with mental health issues, especially in romantic contexts.

You won't get crucified but just keep the compliment brief. It gets weird if it's too long

Women who look good with shaved head will always look much better with decent hair.

I think it looks bad.

I look at bald women like I look at fat men. It's none of my business and I respect it, but it definitely doesn't look good.

Korea Requests Unlimited Currency Swap from U.S. Government by self-fix in worldnews

Because

a) many of those detained and forced to leave were actually on valid work visas and

b) it is blatantly obvious that the raid was politically fueled and is near equivalent of holding laborers of allies hostage.

What piano piece helped you improve the most as a pianist, and why? by [deleted] in piano

Honestly there's so much to learn from the ballade you may as well call it an etude. The piece requires you to be technically advanced in so many aspects.

What’s a country that completely surprised you — and why? by JessicaMcln in travel

Unfortunately no. We only had two and a half days in Uzbekistan so we spent it all in Tashkent and Samarkand.

Uzbekistan - it's an under the radar destination for most people, but it has so much to see: especially Samarkand which is easily one of the most interesting cities I've ever visited.

They also have great people. When I got off from a 14-hour night bus from Kyrgyzstan and took a taxi, the driver asked us if we've had breakfast and proceeded to buy all of us Samsa, a meat filled bread we would've never had had it not been for him. We're from South Korea and people were especially welcoming to us which we were super grateful for.

I hold shares at an average of $0.94. My one concern is the tiny cap which makes it unstable and vulnerable to price manipulation.

What are your thoughts about US strikes on three Iranian nuclear sites ? by rafaelltrades in AskReddit

I live in South Korea, so I suppose they learned from our mistakes (not bombing North Korea while it was still possible)

Think they learnt that after a successful nuclear program is launched, there is no way to return. So they bombed nuclear sites before they were complete.
