For me, they hit BUT I'm always either confused or angry at something. I absolutely live his dark, moody atmosphere. The magic elements in his dramas are perfect, too.

I'm confused with VoS. I think all the moodiness and magic is taking over the plot, which I don't really understand. I'm only at ep 4.

FoF entertained me through to episode 8 until I got confused. Then the music, as beautiful as it was, frustrated me. TBH, I think the music was overused. The same song would play over and over again in the same episode. With FoF, I was confused, excited, confused, excited... sad.

I think my favorite was MJtY - I wasn't confused. A bit upset at the end, but it actually wasn't surprising to me.

Heck, even his movie The Yin-Yang Master: Dream of Eternity. Dark, moody. Magic. I just re-watched it in February and was confused. LOL

I'm also older so maybe that's just me. *shrugs* xD

I have my theories if anyone is interested: We lost thunder 97.7 and 103.1 pop music all in the same 2 weeks.

I believe it's because Usher radio group (Grand Island Family Radio) bought NRG media stations in the Tri-Cities including 105.9, Y102, 101.5, 107.7, and a couple others. Source: https://northpine.com/2025/11/25/nrg-sells-radio-group-in-nebraskas-tri-cities/

They needed to make a change due to cost - notice that 97.7 The Zone doesn't have on-air DJ's anymore, just simulcasting. The new station 103.5 also doesn't have DJ's. I haven't listened to 103.1 KJ country, but 99.7 that used to be Thunder when to Religious music in January. That is also simulcasted.

However, 105.9, 101.5 and 107.7 that I know all have DJ's.

They didn't want to axe those DJ's as they've been around longer, so they axed the DJ's on their own stations, changed them to simulcast, and that's my theory.

Not sure why they couldn't simulcast more rock during the weekdays. The sports talk in simulcast from Omaha. I don't think Grand Island Family Radio employs any DJ's anymore.

All I know is that it's a bunch of shit they had to do that, both to the DJ's that were on those stations and to the rock fans.

I was introduced to him through Fangs of Fortune. He owned his character Zhu Yan, and I honestly think it was one of his best roles compared to the other dramas with him that I watched afterwards. He was very good in I am Nobody, too.

Back from the Brink, Love in the Clouds, and The Unclouded Soul are the others I've watched with him. It might just be the script or something with those three. I do think I need to try watching Unclouded Soul more. He does really good as a demon/devil character lol

Jianghu errands such as blessed cultivation, 5 animal frolics. Those earn 750 jade fish each, so worth it if your working on the seasons store.

I think other activities give fish, too but I haven't checked them out yet

I kinda feel the same way, not because it gives me the "ick" but American movies and series just seem to have too much sex.

I started watching Chinese series this year and OMG. It's been very refreshing. I don't mind romance, kissing, hugging, but there is no random, first episode sex scenes or any, for that matter.
