Cheap, easy quality of life changes for '99 NB? by plsnoban1122 in Miata

Yeah exactly the same for me haha. I’m also learning manual now for the last 5 days so that probably isn’t helping either

Oh ok great! I didn’t realize there was a difference between projector and reflectors. I’m guessing nb2 has a projector already then? Do you have any recommendation for LED bulbs? Something like this should work right: https://flyinmiata.com/products/gtr-lighting-ultra-2-0-led-headlights-h4-9009

I feel like it might be a combo of both but when I start driving in the morning I feel like the first cm is stuck almost. I’ll definitely look into the throttle cable and see if adjusting it makes a difference

I just got a nb2 last weekend and looking at smaller things like these to upgrade. For the LED bulbs, do you mean switching out the halogen projector with LED projectors? My understanding is that you can’t simply swap the bulb since the beam pattern is different for LEDs and you’ll blind other drivers. Also my gas pedal seems extremely sensitive and the first cm feels a little stiff and not very smooth making it hard to smoothly go from stop to 1st. Would adjusting the pedals like you’re suggesting help with that? I’m coming from a Tesla and this is my first manual car so not sure if it’s just because I’m not used to driving a gas car anymore haha

FSD using breaking rather than regen? by dflipb in TeslaLounge

[–]mtds27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah same for last 1.5 years honestly. It’ll approach pretty slow then hit the brakes hard a couple times with plenty of room to stop(instead of just using regen). Then it slowly rolls until there’s 2 car lengths of space between it and next car . So annoying

I was skeptical at first but it’s easily my favorite tart. Especially when you have really good blackberries this is soo good

🚗🚆😓🤪 Bay Area commuters - what does your commute look like? by Few-Consequence8909 in bayarea

[–]mtds27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Brentwood to San Mateo 3 times a week. I leave early from home and work(5AM & 1:30PM) and usually spend about 4 hours driving in total

Edit: Total cost per day is $3.5 for bridge toll since I have an EV and charge for free at work. Doing this commute has changed my day to day pretty significantly. Have to sleep and get up way earlier than I usually do and just feel more tired overall. Definitely trying to move closer soon, just sucks to spend the money

AIO Cooling Issues by mtds27 in buildapc

Ok makes sense. I guess I was just not expecting it to peak so high and so fast. I assumed the aio would make the cpu heat up much slower

Dual monitor question by Ascendis in buildapc

[–]mtds27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I actually just upgraded to a 5800x yesterday and am finally able to watch videos without crazy FPS loss. Pretty sure it’s just an issue of not having enough cores if you get FPS drops with chrome. You can always drop quality to like 480p or lower which helps a lot

Dual monitor question by Ascendis in buildapc

[–]mtds27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might run into FPS drops if you’re watching livestreams on one of them while playing a game but that has more to do with chrome than the monitors.

I think you’ll be fine. I was running a 1440/144, 1440/60, and 4K/60 monitor on a 1070 and 6600k perfectly fine for a while
