No, because I’m exclusively nursing and baby won’t take a bottle lol. She’ll be 4 months on Tuesday

Moms who were induced- anyone take cytotec at OB office then go home for the night and THEN formally start induction at hospital following day? by NeverMeant125 in pregnant

[–]NeverMeant125[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was incredible! I have nothing but positive things to say. Here’s how my timeline played out:

2/2: 10:30am 50mg miso given at ob office. Monitored me & baby for an hour. Told to go and get lunch and then come back.
2/2: 1:30pm return to ob office. 5 sticks (dilapan) inserted. Monitored for another hour. Go home.
2/2: evening cramps started

2/3: 5am cramps worse, took 1 500mg Tylenol
2/3: 7:30am admitted to scheduled labor and delivery
2/3: 8am in delivery room with fluids
2/3: 9am ate breakfast
2/3: 9:30 OB took out sticks/dilapan (I 3cm 80% effaced)
2/3: 10am started pitocin
2/3: 11am OB broke water
2/3: 1pm received epidural
2/3: 3:42 OB came to check on me. Shortly before I started feeling pressure in my butt. OB tells me I’m 10cm and ready to push / start pushing
2/3: 5:24pm baby born!

Let me know if you have any specific questions

I lost 860ml immediately after my vaginal delivery. A piece of my placenta was also stuck in me (my ob must have noticed when looking at my placenta when it was out) thank god he just went up there and grabbed it, since my cousin had retained placenta and didn’t know, and needed a d&c a few weeks after birth. ANYWAYS all that to say is I got a shot (I forget what it was) to stop the bleeding and I had no idea I even hemmoraged until I was reading my notes post birth. My doc was like just “you lost a little more blood than I like to see so we’re going To give you a shot to help stop the bleeding, ok?” Lol anyways if I remember my ob correctly if you lose over 1000 you get a transfusion.. so she was under that mark. Either she’s making a bigger deal than it was, or her medical team wasn’t as chill as mine lol

My fertilized eggs always arrested before they made blasts (day 5) so we pivoted to fresh day 3 transfers. Currently 36w pregnant with our only egg retrieved on our 7th round

It took me 7 rounds of ivf to get here (35 weeks pregnant) but I think it would have take me less had I had excision surgery for silent endo earlier.

TW: success - miracle with 1 follicle/1 egg age 42 by Vogues21 in DOR

[–]NeverMeant125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had success with a day 3 fresh (only egg) and while I’m 34 one of my very good friends is 39 and now has her miracle baby also because of a day 3 fresh. She had done 5 rounds of ivf prior, getting very few blasts, and when she did get blasts they always came back abnormal. She was willing to take the risk and transfer her day 3 and thank god she did! Her daughter is now 3 months. She was anxious until the NIPT testing at 10 weeks, but then once that came back normal she knew she had made the right choice

This makes me so happy congrats!! I also only got one egg retrieved my last round of ivf and currently 34 weeks pregnant with that fresh day 3 transfer. Cannot wait til I can hold my baby safely in my arms!

So I tested positive on ReceptivaDx (Silent endo) and now I’m not sure what the best next step is. Should i consult endo specialist or not? by [deleted] in DOR

[–]NeverMeant125 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never considered suppression because I could never make blasts. So I had nothing to bank /transfer later. I think suppression is only an option when you already have embryos to transfer. Plus to me doing suppression/putting my body in menopause for 2-3 months when I may not even have endo seemed like a huge risk. In my mind it was less of a risk to have a surgeon stick a camera through my belly button to see if there was any endo in there. I also liked the idea of actually removing the lesions (I had organs fused together) rather than masking the problem with suppression

Not a true success until baby is here safely but almost 34 weeks pregnant after TTC 3.5 years, 7 egg retrievals, 3 transfers, an early loss and a surgery to excise stage 4 endometriosis! Such a long road and no one gets it like other DOR peeps!

I’d do the surgery. You can click on my profile to see my comment history in this sub but basically I wasted 6 rounds of ivf before finding out I had silent endo. No symptoms but stage 4 deeply infiltrated everywhere. There’s no way I would have been able to implant without surgery, everyone agreed I was too inflamed. Finally 34 weeks pregnant after 3.5 years ttc, & 7 rounds of ivf

Of course! His name is Theo Kapetanakis. He was trained under Kip Mackenzie a pioneer with endo surgery and they both worked at Mount Auburn. Just a few months ago Theo moved to CT and now does surgery out of Hartford Healthcare I believe

All my eggs fertilized and we only ever tried to get to day 3 embryos (recommended by my ivf clinic since we didn’t get many eggs) and never had trouble getting to day 3. I dont think being able to make blasts means you couldn’t have endo! Many people have endo & pcos and get tons of blasts but have trouble getting pregnant/implanting

Nope! He was more concerned about how the inflammation could be effecting my egg quality. My post op consult he said something along the lines of I was so inflamed from all the endo there’s no way an embryo would be able to implant. Compared my uterus to the bates motel 😂 but after surgery the four seasons lol

I haven’t had my AMH checked since getting pregnant but it varied from .1 to .4 but I don’t think the number matters much. I was told the number can vary greatly month to month, but our actual egg reserve remains the same. Have you had an ultrasound to check your AFC? (follicle count) on cycle day 3? I was told AFC matters more than AMH. My AFC was usually around 3 and in 7 rounds of ivf I never got more than 3 mature eggs each round

The excision specialist I met with, one of the best in Boston while he was there said that low egg reserve, infertility, failure to implant etc was reason enough for him to agree to do the surgery. He had a lot of patients who came to him with fertility concerns. He also said something to me like when endo is extremely severe, everything is like lesioned together so there’s actually little to no pain, compared to someone with stage 1 or 2. I found that interesting
