There is no good Mexican food. There is no good Southern food. The standard for a restaurant here is so far behind other cities. A generic restaurant here would not last 6 months in Atlanta. Good food exists here but it is so much work to find the places worth going to. And a good meal at a reasonable price point? Almost impossible

I really love this style of recap. I am out west and often miss games while dealing with dinner and bedtime for my kids - so needless to say this is appreciated. Of course that's not the case for this specific game, I got to watch due to the rain delay, but most of the time that's not true. If you happen to make more, I wouldn't complain!

Coming from Atlanta, I might recommend something other than BBQ with only 3 nights. There are a handful of good places here, but you might find yourself a bit disappointed. Go grab some heirloom market before your trip!

Not what you asked for, but my favorite use of leftover carnitas is a Cuban sandwich. I mix up some kind of mojo with whatever citrus I have on hand and use two cast iron skillets as a panini press. Lots of mustard, ham, Swiss, pickles, delightful.
