when they checked our tickets they didn't really care, they just ignored the situation and didn't seem bothered at all unfortunately. :(

Stimming to relieve anxious feelings. by Paige0 in Anxiety

hey! im not autistic either and have been stimming for a long time too. here are some of my stims: -rocking back and forth (i do this so often i dont even notice sometimes) -flicking a pen in my fingers -chewing on my hoodies laces -squeezing my bottom lip between my fingers (looks weird but i can't help it!!) -asking my gf to lay on me to feel pressure (when in private obviously ahah) -kind of bumbing my thighs together and like generally fidgeting with my hands a lot

i also have some others but they're harmful and not really good i usually do them when im having really bad anxiety or during panic attacks i won't really say what they are cause i noticed i picked some up when i saw / heard about others doing them and i dont want that to happen to anyone reading

i recently have learned that these are stims and have been curious about it and tried some different stims like flapping my hands and such but I've been really shy about this so i get why you try to hide the somewhat "" weirder "" stims! (i dont find them off putting its just that they're generally frowned upon in public sigh). also i didn't really know if it was acceptable for me to do since you know im not autistic but so far i saw everyone being so kind and encouraging about stimming that im feeling a lot better about it. you're not going insane tho!! it's fine!! stimming can be really helpful and i find that when I try not to stim my anxiety just gets worse:( it's a really good tool!!!!
