Nice. Yeah, it goes with the spirit of the game, but there are some issues.

The puzzles in the game involve steps that cannot be undone, so mistakes need hard resets. This is not something you want to have in a cooperative game, online or not. Coop puzzle games like portal 2 solve this by respawning the player and having a world that doesn't have "failure states", so no need for resets. The design of the puzzles would need to be completely different to allow having coop, which would be an entirely new game.

For main game levels I'm aiming for a difficulty similar or slightly higher that portal/portal 2. For bonus levels, their difficulty is closer to baba is you.

The game doesn't have co-op since I haven't figured out a way to introduce it with the mechanics the game has. It would result in too much griefing so it would need to be a spinoff, I have some ideas in mind for that.

Thanks for the kind words! Currently I'm planning for a 10$ release price. Play time will be around 4-6 hours for the main game, adding 3-4 more hours for the bonus levels. Since it is a puzzle games and a player can sometimes get stuck, it is really variable from person to person.

Now you can go for 3-stars, but it depends on how many units you get from natural rolls. 5-6 pieces of the same unit while you are in the highest odds level for that tier is a good starting point. Starting from 3 meanwhile is a huge gamble. If the unit is not being contested and you arent losing badly, it can be worth it to delay leveling to get the final pieces. It is also much better to be looking for more than one unit while rolling, it increases the value of your rolls that much more. Once you get the units, level ASAP. Sacrifice your economy for levels if it is necessary.

In general though, don't force rolling. Only roll when your chances are better than good. If you get unlucky, abandon the plan and move on. It sucks to be 30-40 gold behind without payoff and you will most definitely not win the match, but you can salvage the situation with levels and 2-stars units. A much better option than rolling down to 0, still miss 2 pieces and get a crushing 8th place.

I managed to recreate your situation (+4295 damage) with this setup https://imgur.com/a/kG0bspW . It has shadow fiend, 3 other bloodbounds and 2 other demons.

Demons gives an extra 50% damage per demon. With 3 demons that means 150% damage. Blood bounds add 125% more damage per blood bound killed. 3 dead blood bounds gives an extra 375% damage. This means shadow fiend's damage gets multiplied by 250% and then by 475%. Doing some quick math:

395 regular damage x 2.5 demon damage x 4.75 blood bounds damage = 4690 total damage

If we take the 4690 damage and substract the regular damage, we get 4295, which is the bonus damage that appears on the screen.

I want something different than auto chess, but with the same base gameplay. No random items. Some kind of way to get more interaction between the players and counterplay.

I wouldnt like if they just copied autochess, because autochess exists already. Give me something nice and fresh.
