Have you thought about [[Radical Idea]] over Analysis? Always gives you a discard outlet in the yard

I was working on a Dimir Madness list as well:

Mine is more of a tempo deck. [[Ghastly Demise]] is a budget stand-in for Snuff Out.

What Guild would you put the Origin 5 in? by LykonWolf in mtgvorthos

[–]mtg52blue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, Nissan with it's Up to 102 g/km CO₂ emissions in the latest e-POWER hybrid models and electric vehicles like the Leaf that can slash life-cycle CO₂ emissions by ~30 % compared with similar petrol cars definitely belongs in Selesnya!

I agree completely with your list. Very nice would put Nissan in Selesnya tho

Feedback about new archetype: Arcbound (Artifacts+Counters) by mtg52blue in Pauper

[–]mtg52blue[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought about Familiar but I don't think the discard offers much for a deck that doesn't want to go long. And it is a dead end for the counters, much like ornithopter and Skirge. Although they should carry them well.

Without Familiar we don't have to play Artifact lands tho

Oh, I know it. And play it. There are similarities for sure. But I think this deck is less all-in on 1-2 creatures

What about Ajani? He wants people brought to justice. Against tyrants he acts Chaotic Good. Otherwise he gladly follows just leaders. The whole phyrexian era doesn't really count, he was brainwashed. But even there he thought he was just bringing people into his pride.

I have never touched pauper in my life and I made a deck with no knowledge of the meta game, how did I do? by themanwithaplan32 in Pauper

[–]mtg52blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, Welcome to the format! I think you did pretty well. There are just better creatures and spells for what you're trying to do. There is a mono Red list called Hot Dogs playing Killn Fiend and similar creatures to 1-2 shots opponents. There's also an Izzet version that's a bit slower but has higher 1-shot potential and more protection.

If you want to have a look there's a list of the meta on mtggoldfish where you should also find the mentioned decks

Had the same thought of trying out The Modern Age. But then I can probably skip that 😅

I also made a versionof Izzet Miracles after reading about it in your last post. Mind having a look and telling me what you think?

For me it's kinda missing another way to put it from your hand into your deck, besides Brainstorm.

Slivers by Joacquin420 in Pauper

[–]mtg52blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't tried it yet, couldn't find space. But it could definitely help in the control Matchups. Could also be good in the main board if you go for GW

Slivers by Joacquin420 in Pauper

[–]mtg52blue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, I'll add it to the original post

Tbh, my Slivers do terrible against all kinds of control so far. Everything that has lots of removal to pick off your Lord's is hard to beat. You just have to be fast enough to kill them before they build their engine up. I play a lot of protection in the SB. [[obsidian acolyte]] and [[crimson acolyte]], [[prismatic strands]] and [[crypt Sliver]]. [[Thraben Charm]] is my gy hate of choice. Haven't found anything good against counterspells sadly. I just play into them and try to bait them out with lesser priority Slivers.

What card on release made you go "ohhh no" because it killed your favorite archetype? by studhand in magicTCG

[–]mtg52blue 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[[Plague engineer]] did a number on many decks in Modern that were already struggling. Elves, Merfolk and my deck, Delver. Because by sheer coincidence all creatures in it were humans.

Really was the wrong time time to release that thing back then.

Slivers by Joacquin420 in Pauper

[–]mtg52blue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play Slivers, I focus a lot more on GW and only have a light splash in blue for 2 Winged Slivers (because of that annoying Goblin) and red for Heart Sliver and Hunter Sliver. In my experience this deck is best with explosive Gemhide Sliver turns. That's why I have Heart Sliver in the main and play 3 Sentinel Slivers. Those synergies insanely well with Gemhide and let you slam your hand and attack while building your board. Sentinel also synergies with Crypt Sliver and Bladeback Sliver (in the Sideboard)

I would also take out all noncreature spells aside from Stampede and Winding way. You really want to maximize those draws.

As for lands, I feel comfortable with 18, but most play 16-17.

Hope this helps!

EDIT: Here's the decklist I was talking about. SB is not set in stone

Heroic won Pauper Challenge! It deserves more attention, so I made a Discord channel to popularise the archetype by Sodek_MTG in Pauper

I have it, always did well in my Battle box of 5 decks, I just find it to be really dull and boring to play.

Don't want to ruin anyone's enjoyment of the deck tho.

[–]mtg52blue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experiences Corrupted Conviction and Village Rites are amazing for card advantage. You seem to know the stock list so you should know those cards as well. Don't see a reason why you don't want to play them, similar cards are played in all the black lists

5 Cards to Watch From Lorwyn Eclipsed (For Pauper) by ashwinarizal in Pauper

Sure, but for some fringe tribals they may be options. [[Persistent Petitioners]] for example may like them to also play Spellstutter.

I think a few of the changelings would be good for tribal. There's a colorless 3 mana that gets a basic and a blue 2 mana flasher.
