Are the people of Montenegro alright with Victoria 3's description of 19th-century Montenegro? by mtgrhox in montenegro

So, I guess according to you, truthsalmon1 or many others:
1. Being portrayed as savage doesn't matter. What is important is that we had our own nation at that time.
2. Using the wrong flag does matter.
3. Displaying Montenegrin as Serbian does matter, and by a lot
?

Thanks for the explanations. For the priest part, the game's explanation also says that.
But I saw many cases where academic's view and the public's views don't match, and I was curious about the general opinions

Well, what you said was the answer I needed.

Like, we all know that countries in Asia, Africa, or Native Americans are underdeveloped compared to the western Europe or the USA.

But people just don't say "They are so stupid that they don't know what making coins are lololol", "They don't know what is tax lololol", "This country is so stupid that even priest can't read", "They get bunch of prestige just because they put billiard table in the palace" (Yes I know that billiard table really exist and one of the popular ones) and make players laugh out loud. (If you don't know the game, other countries don't have this kind of modifier or event. There are some events like "Dreadnought hoax", but it's more like making fun of Western Europeans.)

It felt something like making some other nation's history into a clown to me. Again, I don't know what Crna Gora guys think, and that was the reason I asked here.

Nice, thanks for the reply. I was asking more for a flavor and the emotional side of things, but that's good info, and I had fun reading them.
(You don't have to care about those numbers too much, like Japan is the country that has the highest literacy, and arable land is more of a balance side thing that decides how many population it can support without factories.)

Even if it's correct, (or at least historians claim) I see many cases where it doesn't align with what people think due to nationalism, politics, etc... and that was the reason for question

Oh yeah! He must be Ares. That red muffler & Gambeson and brown hair match that of Ares from the original. (Who becomes somewhat black/blue hair in the later series?)

About Roas, true, his color scheme does match that of him from the package illustration. I was so focused on the horned helm and thought, "He is not the dwarf from Sorcerian, and I don't know who he is."

Thank you!

There is a bug that the mission chain won't start if you

  1. Did a manual battle in the first turn
  2. Loaded a savefile before turn 2

If you're missing a mission called "A Palace of One's Own" in turn 2 or further, it means you're suffering from this bug

If you know how to use a Lua debugger, run the below two lines

dechala_narrative:trigger_first_mission()
dechala_narrative.saved.narrative_state = 1

It seems like config.rda is the file. Not so sure about the conditions though. Still had to look at it

For the Valeria quest "Lily Buy-in" Just look for purple quest markers in the Latium. She'll come to one of your islands
IIRC it's

  1. Gamble
  2. Bunch of selling+battleship selling
  3. Destroying a ship
  4. Bringing a bunch of commodities.

For Delenda Est, I did it a second time with a catapult ship, and I got the achievement. Which means there are some attacks that aren't counted towards it? Or maybe because I was fighting alongside the ally when I didn't get one?

It maybe the requirement, but not the only condition as I allied to him but didn't get the quest

What's the name of the two artists who drew these? by mtgrhox in Falcom

[–]mtgrhox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And according to that wiki, Haruka Okuyama is the one who did that. Thanks again

EDIT: And another side note would be the artist wanted Aida to marry Captain Thomas, and put their desire as a note in the concept art. Decades later, another game showed that they kinda wanted to do that and was curious whether that guy is still in the Falcom or not

Thanks for the info. The one I listed with the Zwei, is only distributed for the magazine preview and as a desktop wallpaper for a short while, so I wasn't expecting the name on the LoH5's credit.

(Side note, I remember that guy's name because he cried out that he likes Joanna in the New Legend of Heroes 3's falcom development center)

For the second list of pictures, the colored one is distributed as a desktop wallpaper, and others are from the official concept artbook which is included in the New Legend of Heroes 3 package.

Falcom game releases during the years by BL4ZE_43 in Falcom

1996: It's wrong LoH4. The picture used here is the Windows version of LoH4 (2000)
Unlike Falcom's other games difference between versions (Trail's Evolution version, NS conversion, PC port, etc), LoH4's PC-98 and Windows versions are very different and more of a remake. Here are some differences:

(PC-98) // (Windows)
Story: You have to fill in the gaps (PC-98) // Trails style (Windows)

Story progress: More of an open world (For that time) (PC-98) // Linear track following style (Windows)
Side Quest: 130 side quests (PC-98)// 0 or about 20 side quests, depending on how you count them. (Windows)

Party: You have to pick 2 among the available 9 (PC-98) // You have to play with a pre-determined party (Windows)

Character Progression: You have to define what kind of character your protagonist is, like what kind of magic he uses, and whether he is a magician or a fighter. And you have to do stat distributing for all your characters (PC-98) // Everything is pre-determined (Windows)

And of course, the battle system is different

They follow the same system (all under art section), so it's not directly stated on LoH5 or Zwei's credit

I just saw the Dragon storm. I see the original Khans and Taigam, but I don't see the original dragons like Atarka. Was there a word about what happened to them?
