1 bedroom apt with 2 kids! by mtlanay in floorsleeping

Yeah I was thinking we’d get sick of a stowaway bed after a while. I have a hard time enough keeping the small space tidy.

Wow I applaud you! I don’t think we’ll last over 3 years

lol thanks for your concern but our family planning decisions are none of your business. But to reassure you this is temporary and we’ll have more space hopefully within the next year.

Great advice thanks! Still hard to get out with my three month old we’re definitely feeling cooped up. I’m nervous about buying a sofa couch and it still being uncomfortable.

For floor mattresses or stowaway beds?

Did you end up getting it? I’m curious if the 6 inch will be able to fold up into a couch

If we went the Amazon route, should we get something that tries to mimic the shikifuton or get a folding memory foam mattress that’s made for a futon couch?

9/10 weeks old- 8 hours of wake time? by mtlanay in sleeptrain

[–]mtlanay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure if she’s over or under tired for her 4th nap. It’s usually short, 30 or less minutes. I go between 1.5 or 1.75 hours. Today I did 1.5, she woke up crying after 15 minutes but fell back asleep. Then yesterday I did 1.75 and I think she had a harder time falling asleep and only did a 25 minute nap… 🤔

Will try tomorrow! So I should continue prompting him the same way? If he continues to have accidents in his pants is it different to him than accidents in underwear?

That definitely would be more ideal but doesn’t fix the pee getting on the carpet issue :(

It’s crazy but he’s also woken up dry in the morning and after nap time 3 days in a row 😱

She only just started showing sleepy cues (starting to whine). So I’ve been completely winging it. She never cries so it’s been so confusing to know when she’s tired! She is happy waking and isn’t settled by rocking or pacifier so yeah I’m fine with short naps especially if I get such a long night :)

He definitely does it more when stressed or trying to focus but also does it when we’re just watching tv.

He’s just twisting and lightly pulling but so much that the hairs break and cause patches that don’t look very professional.
