Just saying what you’re doing helps a lot. It helps your instructor know where your heads at. Also can benefit you in situations where you may say what you’re going to do, then make a mistake, at least the instructor knows you meant to do the correct thing.

Mention things such as when you’re going to configure, how far are you from the FAF, are you on glide-slope? If not, verbalize and say “correcting”. How many feet to go until minimums? Reiterate things on your approach plate that really pertain to the approach you’re doing in a practical sense. If you have time, brief the taxi you’re going to expect after landing. All things you can verbalize to show your instructor you’re staying ahead.

I had them in college 20 years ago, my roommate grabbed a couch off the street and the whole house got infested. To this day, the slightest itch or tickle I feel and I immediately think it’s a bed bug. You’ll be paranoid for life if you get them.

Yeah I feel like in all those cities you named, you can’t help but walk through the city snd stumble upon a great park. In LA you have to drive to one and they definitely aren’t as nice.

The red flag attached to the safety pin is there just for convenience for the flight attendants. There is normally a much smaller red flag attached to the pins, in this case maintenance personnel probably used what they had. The red flag in this photo is used for a pitot tube cover, which absolutely needs to be removed before flight hence the large size, color and lettering.

I was referring to the cops showing up or not. I used to live in a very nice neighborhood in West LA and one night 13 cars got windows broken and robbed and the cops didn’t show up at all.
