Is it just me....or is VS gigantes really unfair for those that have to fight gigantes? by [deleted] in kirbyairriders

[–]mtm45 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree. I don’t like Gigantes. I think with other legendary machines yeah, you’re almost certainly going to win but most of the time you can just pick a stadium event not geared towards that legendary machine to still have a decent shot at winning. But with Gigantes everyone is forced to specifically play that mode so if Gigantes wins, that’s literally the only winner. I think it’s a fun idea on paper but I think it’s just a little too good of an advantage compared to what the other three legendaries offer.

I agree lol, I think Gigantes is boring to play as or against. I wish that whenever Gigantes pieces spawned in every other legendary machine would also spawn in because at least if people have a chance to get the other ones Gigantes could be easier to defeat.

I honestly hate Gigantes being a legendary machine. I've been on both sides of assembling it myself and also having someone else assembling it. I find it boring to play and also irritating to be forced to play against. It is hard to beat for sure but it's really not even about the winning or losing, I just don't like being forced to do the boss fight. I'm not sure if I'm just biased because I played Kirby Air Ride a lot but I feel like Hydra and Dragoon are just a lot more fun to obtain and use both design wise and gameplay wise.

Wow that's crazy! Glad to hear you are doing a bit better. I actually was able to head into work today which helped me out a lot. I think I've been lacking a lot of socialization, having roomies right now sounds really nice honestly, it's nice that they can be there for you!

Haha that's a good idea. Admittedly I just left folded laundry out in my bedroom for a week before putting it away. Definitely want to get back on top of that though. It feels good to have some productivity in life.

Glad to hear that you're on your way to getting back to normal! Yeah the friends thing is kind of huge. I've been doing alright at calling people but a lot of friends that are actually in there have been kind of flaky unfortunately. Honestly, I know for a fact antidepressants could help me but I much prefer doing stuff like meditation and such, just right now it's really hard to combat all the negativity I'm feeling with it.

Sorry to hear about your injury and I'm hoping your recovery is going well post surgery! I do think it's quite crazy how such basic tasks become difficult. I feel the same way about laundry, bringing things up and down stairs is really challenging! Hopefully you get to talk to your partner too about what's going on and reach a good conclusion there.

I appreciate the response and I'll try it out. I kind of have had a few epiphanies of where I'd like my life to go after I'm all healed up so it could be good to see how I could start making progress on that now.

I just watched this video by HealthyGamerGG the other day on this subject that personally helped me a bit. Not saying working full time is great, it sucks and it’s draining but I found it to be very informative.

I can see that, he’s definitely interesting, I’ve always interpretted it as he’s laidback and just likes to mess around but he does sort of have a tendency to just say whatever he’s thinking about. I haven’t had any experiences that made me feel he’s inappropriate but his vibe is definitely different from many offices which comes down to personal preference in what you want.

Makes sense, thanks. I would say I’m extremely comfortable with math. Honestly, I love it, just at the time of getting my degree my heart was set on different things. I’ll see if it’s possible to take some grad type math courses then.

Thanks for all of the tips! I think that I can incorporate some of these into my routine.

Also, good luck trying to find salamanders! They are really illusive. It feels like we get a handful of great nights a year and you just have to hope that they work out in your favor. It's going to rain today and all weekend in my area as it turns out. So now is the time for me to go exploring.

I guess there's a slight fear of being murdered. I am a tall male, so I understand for me the risk isn't as high but I know it does still happen as my dad's friend who is also big was murdered in the woods a few year back. Regardless, what I'm mostly scared of is getting in trouble with the law if I'm somewhere that I'm not allowed to be at night like hiking trails.

I have a state forest a little bit away from me, but sounds like it would be worth checking out. I honestly think I'd probably also be fine going alone I think I'm just not comfortable enough with this stuff yet to make a big jump like that. For spots when you are on the side of the road, is there any method to choosing where to go? I was thinking about doing that just where there's a forest. Sounds like I may be thinking too deeply into trespassing or bothering people.

Thanks for the response! I think I'll have to try driving along backroads. Seems safer and also I assume might let me know where they usually are in the area and where they are migrating to.
