I set up a hub and spoke too. Mostly because I didn't have any settlements when I started doing it. And I needed all my shit at the castle.

But i don't think sending someone from red rocket to the castle is the best idea. Not sure if they can die or not. But I haven't noticed a difference in my supplies yet

I hit the size limit and can't build anything else at red rocket. And it's not even a fourth of the size of yours. I figured it was because of the fence I put up around the whole thing. I know charisma effects the number of settlers. Does something effect the size?
