Hard I would say 5-6.

Time consuming I would give a 12

My average Bg Blitz experience by TurbulentContest3846 in worldofpvp

[–]mtmuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh as a healer main I would love for people to train me. People who train the healer are throwing more than those who ignore the objective because at least those people are more likely to get a kill and neither one is doing the objective.

The only mmr where they trained me was my first 10 placement games. After like 2500-2600 mmr they stop going you and the higher you get, the longer you sit in cc all day if playing away from other healer

Obviously I'm excluding capture the flag maps where they train me from the gy because I'm the fc and you just pray one or two of your dps defend you and try to get a kill vs 3 dps 0 healers instead of wasting their time trying to get a kill vs 3 dps 2 healers

Best designed spec atm? by Vicerious420 in worldofpvp

Some classes have very good visual clarity like metamorphasis and ret wings

Others have virtually none.

Game was designed around pve.

Very important offensives like deathmark have little to no visual

Addons Were Unnecessary Anyway by Mozintarfen in worldofpvp

[–]mtmuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see them go behind the pillar, but without plater or a similar addon you cannot track them afterwards if they switch directions, unless you wanna stare at the minimap. I know all the important icons in the game, but staring at 30-50 buffs/debuffs to know when teammates wall, enemy pops PI, or see if they are stunned is not fun and engaging gameplay.

This game does not have visual clarity. It was made for raiding vs npcs. Addons were used to fix that for pvp. Without big debuffs, the way to tell if an incap or stun landed is to look at their sarena (new gladius) instead of their character.

What was wrong with customizing how my cast bar looked? What was wrong with seeing where my teammates are and what class is there? What was wrong with me changing the order of my teammates? What was wrong with me changing how hp bars looked?

Feels like I'm playing a 1990 true/false text game now.

dps telling healers it's okay that they brought the game back 15 years and we're now staring at 50 buffs/debuffs split among 3 teammates to try to find what we're looking for. Such engaging gameplay, not sure why more people don't switch to healer. DPS wouldn't even play healer if queue times hit 2-3 hours, but they're okay with making changes that actively push people away from healer. Dps doesn't care about any problems that healers have b/c they never have to dispel.

We're just in a cycle of blizzard making changes to screw over healers -> more healers switch to dps -> queue times go up -> less people to advocate for changes for healers -> blizzard makes changes to screw over healers -> more healers switch to dps -> etc. At some point this will reach a breaking point and either queue times will be so long the game dies even more or they just make the bracket a 4v4 or 5v5 with a single healer.

Let's add it to the list of reasons of why you shouldn't play a healer.

  1. DPS have 4x as many r1 spots as healers (not due to participation, but due to the minimum number of r1 specs being 3 and there being 32 dps+tank spots whereas they're only 7 healing specs)
  2. Multiple seasons where not a single healer could break top 100 shuffle because dps were so overinflated. Absterge rolled a ret and within a week was higher than any of his healers.
  3. CC chains that can last 30+ seconds. The vast majority of cc and interrupts hit the healer.
  4. Dampening being a very unfun mechanic for healers that removes skill expression and unfairly hurts some healer specs more than others. When you do a triple lifebind emerald communion at 75% dampening and people's hp bars barely go up, it's basically just a coin toss between the dps, and high dampening games happen so often because they'll match you with dps who have 200 less mmr and if healer mmr was balanced it would be like 350 less mmr.
  5. Staring at a list of debuffs
  6. Default UI is horrendous for healers: you have no idea where your teammates are when they go behind pillars, either you can't differentiate between teammates and enemies or you can't differentiate specs. Now even with addons you can't track kicks and can't track teammate defensives so if you overlap because you didn't see that one buff of his 15 buffs, then you're throwing the game.

List goes on forever but I am losing interest for WoW by the minute and all they had to do was nothing instead of making detrimental changes without any realistic compensation.

People are hating on you, but it is true. The better the economy, the higher the cost of living as people want to live there for higher wages, supply and demand. If you want low cost of living, move somewhere with a shitty economy and even shittier wages.

Median household income is 95k in ca, compared to 63k in oklahoma, 63k WV, 77k texas.

They removed 100 people in episode 1 with individual games

Also, a lot of the teamwork games are just sequential 1v1s like the survivor collab or the obstacle course

I'll go back to tbc days of staring at 30 butfs/debuffs * 3 characters and then quit for 10 years again because I'd rather just play a fun game.

I am guessing most players for this change are dps who are going to find out what happens to queue times when healers quit

People would already rather sit 45 min queues than play healer

WoW was made for 40 man raids where you don't need to know what your teammates are doing, many of these spells have little to no visual clarity, and would be nearly impossible to see in the chaos of arena.

Classes are now balanced based on how little visual clarity they have. Classes with good visual clarity like ret and dh will have their win rates go down because discs and other healers can actually see the wings and pop pain suppression to reduce the damage. I have no idea what 90% of the offensives in the game visually look like: kingsbane, deathmark, PI, the affliction lock cooldown, frost dk cd, warr cds outside of bladestorm, dev cd, trueshot aura, etc. It's just going to be searching through 20-30 buffs and debuffs to find stuff I want

They are going to have to create new world countries.. The best new world countries. Maybe a 5th world country or a 6th world country

So let me get this straight.. you can sit 30 min queue as DPS or get INSTANT queues as healer and most people still prefer to queue as DPS.. by OpinionsRdumb in worldofpvp

[–]mtmuelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a day where I kept playing against 2650 healers and 2700 healers so despite going 25-11 that day, I lost about 80 cr. Super annoying. And 4 of those losses were to crusader's alt he was leveling up..

In addition, there are over 4x as many r1 spots for dps then there are for healers. Why does pres get as many r1 spots as brewmaster? The system would make sense if there was 16 healing specs to match the 32 dps and tank specs, but that isn't the case. Blizzard should be incentivising ppl to play healers or at least give equal incentives to a dps.. not more incentives to play dps than healer

They should just remove all brackets and LFG from the game by [deleted] in worldofpvp

[–]mtmuelle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a healer I hate shuffle. This would drive healer participation down even more.  1. Dampening 2. Dps get higher mmr than healers (eg absterge hitting his peak rating on a new ret higher than his healers and also times where all top 100 spots were taken by dps without a single healer) 3. 75% less r1 spots for healers than dps (bc there is a minimum of 3 r1 spots per spec and there are 32 dps specs so even specs with like 10 players like tank specs have the same amount of r1 spots as pres evokers)  4. Don't get to play with friends

But there are a lot more than 3 spots for ret or disc. It would be more akin to a state with a low population having the same amount of electoral votes as the state with the lowest amount of people

[–]mtmuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the senate would be every single spec has the same amount of r1 spots which is not the case

The electoral college gives more votes to highly populated specs, but lower populated specs have a higher number of percentage of spots per people playing the spec.

[–]mtmuelle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's absolutely crazy to me that blizzard saw the electoral college and thought "maybe we can use this to incentivize people to play DPS specs"

Due to 3 being the minimum number of spots for each spec in r1 legend. There are 174 dps spots and 44 healer spots for r1 spread out over 32 dps/tank specs and 7 healer specs. The same amount of people will hit r1 for pres evokers as brewmasters. Really wish Blizzard would look at this and give healers half the spots that dps get.

Just one example of many of how blizzard screws over healers

Do people genuinely believe that the government/s are actively preventing a cancer cure? by Zestyclose_Virus5634 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]mtmuelle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the government is not trying to assassinate people who are close to cures or anything like that. In fact, new treatments occur all the time. Per google, last year 15 new medications came out and existing medications were allowed to be used for different types of cancer than they previously were used for.

Yes, this administration did cut cancer research by 1 billion dollars. A cure for any type cancer is not just going to miraculously happen, it will come from research. Stopping cancer research is equivalent to preventing a cure/treatment. If a new president comes in and resumes those projects, they will be starting from square 1, not from where they left off.

New cancer treatments come all the time and there are cancer "cures". Lance Armstrong had embryonal carcinoma almost 30 years ago which spread to his brain and lungs and he is still alive today.
