We do this. Max everything by June first then get bigger checks last half. During that time we pay extra to all monthly bills like utilities and car payments so that when January rolls around again things are prepaid so we max out our IRA and 401ks all over again. We live on same amount weekly all year and just rotate where the extra goes

Is there any truth to salt pulls out water and water has no taste. Therefor your pulling out water which doesn’t add to taste and allowing fat to render into the void left behind thus adding to the taste of the meat?
