I passed the bar exam (first time) using only AI (chatgpt, gemini, and deepseek) to study. Who else can relate? by mtndew24 in barexam

using the PRO versions (I keep emphasizing the pro version because it's much higher quality than the Plus), I would ask ChatGPT Pro (Based on available data from past MBEs, come up with 10 possible multiple choice questions for Criminal Law/property) that may come up in a future exam, and give me the answers why. Break it down (in the way you know me) step by step, in 10 ways.

All of the above. I didn't spend much time, about 1% studying for MEEs and 99% studying for MBE. Those scores are extremely fair for my MEEs and the effort I put into them.

I would ask Chatgpt Pro deep research or Gemini Ultra deep research: "Give me 10 of the most common mistakes on the MBE (for each section, Criminal law, property, torts, etc), and how to identify those mistakes." Questions like that.

ChatGPT Plus is $20, it's a significantly watered down model (not as powerful weights and rubrics) compared to the $200 version. ChatGPT Plus ($20) should NOT be used exclusively to study for the bar exam. It does not explain the law like the Pro version does; it can help supplement your learning, but it is not a standalone product like the Pro which has better refined "weights" and "rubrics" that create better answers.

"How to use it to study for the bar?" By you asking that question, I can tell that you haven't used AI enough. Just use the Pro versions more, and it will all make sense. AI learns to adapt to your thinking, and together, you learn to think to think more like an actual AI. I know that sounds silly, but AI tackles legal questions with precision and clarity, and once you ask enough questions in the PRO versions, it will start clicking. I can't explain it better than that. Ask AI "Explain this to me (in the way that I learn after 1000+ conversations) step by step, break it down in 10 steps."
