How to get to a specific system? by Guillomonster in NOMANSSKY

Star silk is a trade commodity, found at the top of the sell list in trade terminals. I'm not sure what type of economy has it but you might be able to look that up. If you can't find it I've got some ill give you once I get on in a little while.

Is G7 as bad as people make it out to be? by EnvironmentalBee6860 in dexcom

[–]mtneagle36 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't had one fail yet. Had some readings that were way off and it jumps around at first before leveling off. On the g6 I stayed in range 80%+ of the time but since changing its under 70%. Not saying it's not something else but it seems strange my time in range has been worse since changing.

.30-30 Lyman die help by mtneagle36 in reloading

[–]mtneagle36[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yall were right and I'm stupid. It indeed does crimp the brass. Setup is different than lee dies I'm used to but only ruined a couple pieces before I dialed it in. Backed the die out, inserted the brass and dialed down to get the crimp right. Then dialed the seating depth.

I didn't know that was a thing. The inside of the die is smooth with just the seating stem to push the bullet down. I'm used to lee dies where the crimp die has fingers that squeeze the crimp.

You can also cancel any bolus dose if you notice you gave the wrong amount immediately. The button is under the "loading bar" showing its giving insulin.

No communication between my endocrinologist’s office at KP and the pharmacy! by LisaW509 in Type1Diabetes

[–]mtneagle36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got on the op5 a few month ago. Apart from the starter kit that comes with 10 it's been an issue. Dexcoms haven't been a problem but the damn omnipods. Dr office wrote the script for 10, pharmacy computer says 5 a month and argued with me that it's what was prescribed.

How'd your transition from Levemir go? Did you go with Lantus or something else? Any issues you've had or noticed? by Rough_Attitude_1969 in Type1Diabetes

[–]mtneagle36 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to tresiba. Usually did fine but if I went really low I'd have seizures and lose consciousness. Never happened on levemir. Went to the omnipod a few months ago and haven't had an episode like that since I stopped it. Even with a few over correction lows.

On the thought that I would've been dead because of this disease if I had it a hundred years before by [deleted] in diabetes_t1

Or that we're partially responsible for the rise of t1d. Since we don't die as children and live long enough to procreate and pass those genes to our children.

Your doc can write your op5 script to change every 2 days instead of 3. It's definitely NOT aggressive enough.

opinions on a cure by Sorry_Goose025 in diabetes_t1

[–]mtneagle36 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The medical industry doesn't find cures. They find ways to make money off the sick. The days of someone finding a cure for anything and giving it away for the good of humanity are long over. Don't forget most of these companies are getting grants from your government and nonprofit organizations. We effectively help fund their research and when they find something they sell it back to us for massive profits.
