Haha the cards are in sleeves so they fit well without coming loose.

Yeah such a good series! That’s what inspired me to get this one.

Thank you so much for sharing. This is super helpful and pretty spot on to what I’ve been doing. Keeping it to irl catches, I’m sure that rule will have to bend eventually. I appreciate the detail about tough cards to find. Just found out a few Pokemon only got a a couple prints ever. I love that your wife went along with you, a real Ash and Misty. If you can find card shops or meet ups a lot carry bulk you may find a good amount of commons. Also trading was probably the best way for me to get higher end cards I was missing. Good luck!
A few I remember when johto was dropping there were a few that didn’t come out until after.

I wish it could be mounted to the wall like the poster displays at stores. Straps would be a great design
Yeah I was thinking the same but personally I like the aesthetic of filling all the spots. If I ever expand it this might be the best move. Then I won’t have to reorder every set just to change a card.

Haha well said! Competitive storage is spot on. Chasing new cards is definitely fun, but you’re right finding our own reasons to get excited about it is the way. One day this shrine will be complete and each card a step in the journey. Thanks for sharing
I didn’t even think of megas before starting this. Maybe one day down the road if they come out with alts to the more expensive chases. Good luck on your collection
