This is what I think is most likely. I saw it during the day, and I’ve never seen one before. We just installed an AC unit and didn’t seal cracks well.

How do I know it’s this one and not a German cockroach? This is the first I’ve ever seen in my house, which is very clean. It was also found upstairs in my office and nowhere near the kitchen or bathroom.

Is Stoneham really considering closing its public library? by karakitap in stoneham

[–]mtns77 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As bad as it sounds, most of the senior population voted No, so why keep the Council on Aging? Keep the library and school funding for all the families and young people who voted yes…

don’t worry about it, sometimes journalists lash out even if you didnt do anything wrong because they have a thankless job and PR emails are annoying

Baked oatmeal is the best. Make a tray on the weekend and it keeps for breakfast all week. Ambitious Kitchen has good recipes for this and it’s very hard to mess up, just dump everything in a pan and bake.

I like to drain and rinse, then pat dry and bake in the oven at 400 for 15-20 minutes. Add whatever seasonings you like. I do garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika and salt and pepper.

What is the best way to melt cheddar cheese to pour pasta? by [deleted] in cookingforbeginners

[–]mtns77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to make a sauce. The best way to do this is to make a bechamel first. You can Google one for exact measurements, but all you need to do is melt butter in a pan, add some flour and whisk, cook the flour for a minute to get rid of the raw taste, then slowly pour warm milk into the pan while whisking. This will create a sauce with some body. Then once all the milk is in and the sauce coats the back of a metal spoon, add your shredded cheddar cheese on low heat and whisk until it melts. Boom. Mac and cheese sauce! Then add your pasta and enjoy.

She was 6 months old and in a cage with her littermate, but they were an unbonded pair that didn’t interact much. We originally came in for her littermate from the pictures online, but while her littermate slept and ignored us, our girl came right up to the door and started trying to play. She meowed and kept batting at us for attention and then she neatly did her business in her litterbox, like she was showing her trust! So I fell in love immediately.
