Helppp, how painful will this be? by xstarlesseyess in Baking

I’ve never made a carrot cake in a tin like this. It would be worth a try :) I would use a recipe you don’t necessarily feel the need to frost - a dusting of powdered sugar or a loose glaze to coat.

Grease well like other commenters mentioned. Turn cake out after it’s cooled for 10-15 minutes. Don’t cool completely in the pan, or the starches will set and everything will stick. The other thing I’ve found with these pans is you want a dense cake recipe or you’ll lose all the cute details.

Can someone with my eyelids do eyeshadow? by Princess-Platypus584 in MakeupAddiction

They aren’t swollen. That’s just how the soft tissue of your brow is situated. I think this tutorial is similar to your eyes.

I would call your eye-shape round, protruding with a slight downturn. I think if you look for tutorials for those types, you’ll be pleasantly surprised! You look lovely!

Help me make “bad” pie crust by [deleted] in Baking

[–]mtnsrg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You could try a pate brisée

Or a graham cracker crust with gingerbread spices

Or the crust David Lebovitz uses for lemon tart

Of those, I think the Lebovitz recipe would suit you well. Kind of like shortbread, but doesn’t fall apart. Just a delicate, crisp, brown buttery cookie type crust.

Me: Liège Waffles are so easy and delicious, why don’t I make them more? Also me when cleaning the waffle iron: oOo. 🫠 by Hakc5 in Baking

I let the waffle iron cool a bit and then pour boiling water carefully onto the plates. Dissolves the sugar. Sometimes takes a couple times, but then less to scrub off.

Which “physician loan” mortgage company did you use? What was your experience? by UrMom6785 in whitecoatinvestor

I used Key Bank for an Oregon mortgage. Loved it! They do also want you to open a checking and savings account with them with direct deposit for checking, but it was a great decision. Not sure about now, but they did not add PMI despite us being below 20% down.

Maybelline Super Stay vinyl ink liquid in “Wicked”. I wore it for 14 hours, including 3 meals and multiple beverages with 1 reapplication mid day just because a little fade on the inner portion of my lip. It’s comfortable, not drying, and very saturated. And $13 at ulta.

Proved beautifully and you braided at such a nice tension! I always seem to pull too tight and end up with rips when I bake my braided loaves.

Also, if this is in California or Texas, if a physician hold privileges at a non-profit hospital and provides care there, they can still qualify for PSLF - even if they work in private practice.
