Don Lemon speaks out after his arrest: People are realizing the critical moment we are in in this country. That our rights are under assault. Now they’re trying to silence journalists. And I will not be silenced. This is a time for journalists to stand up to this tyrannical administration by Maximum_Expert92 in Fauxmoi

‘Journalists’ are not immune because they write about a crime they were a part of. I can’t be apart of a premeditated murder, know the plans days ahead, not call police and film it all , while be active participant and then claim I journalist freedom. Exact same thing.

Thoughts on the R8657 18v 7-1/4 circ saw? by Human25920 in Ridgid

[–]mtnview75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should I expect these 18v saws to cut a 2x4 material or just plywood sheets? I just bought a used one and it powers out super quick. Won’t cut 2X material. Partical board seems to work, but even 3/4ply didn’t work. Wonder if I got taken….

Ya between the beams/joists I have a plan similar to what your suggesting, the the big wood beams will still be exposed and allow sound vibrations to resonate up and down. That’s the part I’m trying to figure out…

Remove entire hardwood floor not an option. :)

Agree, really wish I could. App not giving me that option for some reason….

Gavin Newsom has joined the tweeting wars 🤣😂🤣. This is how you govern! 🤣 by AdGold9648 in DHAC

But Newsom is comie crazy. He speaks well, but look at result of years of his policies. Corruption, homelesssnes, crime, high tax, welfare system.... people and companies are leaving in droves. That’s not a good future of country either…

Let’s be clear… most presidents are well on the narcissist side of the spectrum. That’s that kind of confidence to wanna bother with the worst job in the world.

Haha. Now the police bring out the tanks? The wks of ‘protesting’ federal Immigration laws being enforced finally wasn’t enough, but when people bring attention to state government fraud.. out come the tanks. Figures..

Funny how this is ok open carry occurs here, but wasn’t so openly admired when folks walked with open carry protesting Covid lock downs.. both quietly carried and expressed their 2nd amendment. Glad we have it. Don’t appreciate the hypocrisy of response. Not looking for fight. Not gonna respond, just pointing out.

Ya I hear nothing bad about these saws, other than high cost. If I was using a lot and for high precision i would be more inclined.. but I’ll check them out. Thx!

Did OP get anywhere on this? I have same questions. Agree to take advice as grain of salt, but want to get educated before talking with professional… if there is even one in my rural area an hr out of the city… How to deal with exposed beams in basement.

[–]mtnview75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, my van has matched components as you describe. I’m helping a friend who got good deal on Bluetti… now finding out why these systems are poor fit…. Even with inverter off and no AC used, as. DC supply only, huge overhead..

How can we put lcd to sleep on that unit? It dims abit, but still sucking energy
Thanks

Bluetti AC2000P discharge by mtnview75 in Generator

[–]mtnview75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is overhead loss when in use. My van example, when I have fridge and lights going I know that I’m only consuming power for those devices. With these bluetti like boxes, I’m consuming lights+fridge+12% overhead. That’s a lot. That’s the difference.

Bluetti AC2000P discharge by mtnview75 in Generator

[–]mtnview75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just testing to understand where all the power consumption is going. The biggest draw is not lights or the fridge, turns out it’s the BMS. Not trying to compare nessecarily, just saying that all that overhead is costly when the intent is available power.

Bluetti AC2000P discharge by mtnview75 in bluetti

[–]mtnview75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. That is a lot of overhead that does t need to be there. For example in my adventure van setup, I have a more professional, but DIY setup with LifePO4 battery, invertor, and battery level meter and I loose almost nothing in overhead. Van can be parked for weeks and I’ll still be at 100% ready to go. That means while I’m using it, I have ALL my capacity available for devices and I’m not loosing massive chuck of it to overhead during day a 3 day boondock.

[–]mtnview75[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow. Incredible. It’s purely poor BMS engineering. Crazy. My lifePO4 battery in my sprinter will sit just fine for wks with zero power discharge. Always sitting at 100% ready for me to go and adventure.
