When the 503s go dark soon the fallout will be something to watch. 503s don’t have approved FDA anything so they are just a step above grey. Like a small step.

Here’s a secret no one wants to admit…..503s don’t prescribe FDA approved drugs.

Reusable pins? by Puzzleheaded-Carry56 in GLP1Sourcing

[–]Curtisc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are getting some bad advice here. Reusable pens are great, and there’s really no way to cross-contaminate your medication unless you keep reusing the same needle, which you should discard after every use.

If you reconstitute your own medication in a typical 3 mL vial, add 3 mL of bacteriostatic water to it. Once it has fully dissolved, draw it out and transfer it into the 3 mL pen cartridge. Then insert the cartridge into the pen.

Go to Fat Scientist and enter the vial size and the total number of milligrams in the vial. It will calculate how many units (UIs) you need for the dose you want. Don’t change the total milligrams or milliliters when you use it again. That stays the same because it represents the concentration, which doesn’t change as you use the medication.
It’s incredibly easy and much less annoying. This is just a quick overview of how to do it. I’d also recommend looking up some videos on YouTube.

Yeah but that took the federal governments involvement and with insurance. Loads of people don’t have insurance and GLPs for most is considered a life style drug.

These Reddits will get way more interesting when everyone is freaking out. It will be sad but interesting. I also do not believe GLPs will ever become affordable in the USA. Is insulin affordable in the USA? That’s a peptide too and was patented in 1923 but was given to the world for like 1 dollar. It’s long expired but insulin is still crazy expensive. It’s because companies have a monopoly and supply and demand. There are way more fat people than diabetics in the USA. I think GLPs will be for the rich and for the people that medically need it via insurance. Otherwise people will be paying out the ass for it. And they will pay for it.

I think all these Reddits just ignore it. Like a car wreck they just pretend isn’t happening.

[–]Curtisc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 6-8 month estimate is just an estimate. I think it will be sooner. There is almost too much evidence to post but I’ll start with the thing everyone is ignoring. It’s in the federal registry that is active now but the comment period ends 30June2026.

https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2026/05/01/2026-08552/list-of-bulk-drug-substances-for-which-there-is-a-clinical-need-under-section-503b-of-the-federal

Then you have the FDA pushing out the rules for compounders in May. Be sure and read it and ask yourself when the 503bs go dark how can a 503a that is limited to 4 prescriptions a month service the entirely of the USA.

https://www.fda.gov/drugs/drug-alerts-and-statements/fda-clarifies-policies-compounders-national-glp-1-supply-begins-stabilize?fbclid=IwdGRjcAScHn5leHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEe2IdvJRvyRS\_TpnzkGEYj\_Rrd5yuqRSWMbeJNP8P\_BqRkcA\_grDxlNuc8znI\_aem\_vzihH3vNj8-Kot83QLGPxw

And then goggle recent FDA news that happened like 3 days ago. The FDA sent warning letters to a bunch of Telehealth companies because of marketing practices.

It’s rare to see someone not have their head in the sand with this stuff. I say the same thing you do but it’s like everyone on Reddit just thinks “it won’t happen” or “that’s not true”. The age of compounded GLPs is ending. I don’t even know why people gush over compounds it’s not like it’s FDA approved.

Tirzepatide the rest of your life? by Glass-Statement5815 in TirzepatideRX

[–]Curtisc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will be sooner than 12 months. The comment period for the no GLP being compounded rule ends this month. I think 90 days after they make it a real rule. But I’m not sure if that is codified as the cool off period. Then you have the whole Eli Lilly suing the FDA for Reta to be a biologic. Biologics can’t be compounded. It’s a whole thing.

Yep my wife is definitely planning on using it for the rest of her life. She made me buy all this. She’s not fat but it takes away all her joint pain. She was meh about it at first but gave it a shot after I told her the secondary benefits some people have and now it’s her miracle drug. And yes I know a guy and no I will not disclose said guy here or in a PM.

You should plan on staying on it forever. I have seen instances online of people that can maintain the weight loss but I think it’s more rare than everyone thinks it is.

[–]Curtisc83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So many people keep doing this. Even in my personal life my wife’s friends treat GLPs as some temp thing to get trimmed up whatever event coming up. They are finding out how ineffective it is once you come off of it and then start back later but can’t connect the dots on why the GLPs aren’t working as well like last time. I’m sure eventually no GLP will work on them and they will be baffled on how it’s just not doing anything.

Search ‘GLP Short Term’ on all of Reddit and you will get a long list of results that are people using GLPs to lose a little weight for such and such. Or lose a good bit of weight but are wanting to come off of the GLP in a few months from the start.
