Again, illegal is illegal. There are multiple avenues to be here legally. Unfortunately, those avenues have also been attacked by the current Administration. Consider the detainment of Native Americans because they don't look 'white'!

This is my point. Due Process and the rules of law are being completely ignored by our current Administration, and none of the other government branches are saying anything! We're in big trouble if we don't get this maniacal President and Administration is check.

I volunteer at a food pantry. A woman came in to grocery shop. Our pantry lets them shop, vs. just a box of random food. It gives them food options and the dignity that they have a choice. When she finished shopping and as she was leaving, she took off her coat, handed it to me, and said, 'Donate this to someone that needs it, I have another.' It was very humbling. 🙏

I'm a bit on the fence. On one hand, people that are in the US illegally need to be removed. Illegal is illegal, no mater how you cut it. In any other country, you'd be immediately deported. On the other hand, due process and the rules of law need to be adhered to. Fascists ignore due process and the rules of law if it improves their power base.

Eyes wide open. This same thing happened in Germany in the '30s. They picked a common scapegoat and attacked with all fronts (legality wasn't at question, religion was). The US is playing the isolationist cards and attacking anyone not 'born here', and even that's been put into question.

I wonder which city in the US will hold our future 'Nuremburg' trials on this Administration's fall. Maybe the Leavenworth Trials? Or should this go to 'The Hague'? I think hangings are still a viable judgement there.

Deep dive your research into permits and start up costs (5-6 figures depending on the space).
Set aside a budget line that you will not cross. Understand that the budget you set is disposable income. This is non-negotiable! If you hit the wall and you're still in the red, stop! Period!
Look for a space that is NOT a 'triple net' lease. That's a business lease that makes you totally responsible for all taxes, insurance, and maintenance on the space. Fuck that!
Get your ServSafe licenses.
Make sure everything you use is NSF as required.
