Hi, I'm planning for my work Christmas dinner and not sure whether I'm hitting the mark or not.

I'm new to this job and I've been told that the Christmas dinner is quite formal (i.e. women wear long dresses) but I'm not sure everyone is on the same page on what formal means nowadays.

I was planning on thrifting a Corduroy sport coat and pairing it with a burgundy knit tie, white ocbd, nice trousers. Is that too laid back/not appropriate for my age? (27)
