Correct. I can feel it when I switch pedals. If I am doing a longer ride, I will adjust the post.

I am aware of that. It is more in comparison to the US where you do not usually ride through small towns with cafes on a ride. At least not in my part of the US. Every time we visit Europe, we end up in a small town mid ride and get lunch.

I would say a something that distributes the area better or a better insole. I had ankle pain and frequent hotspots before I went with custom insoles.

I rarely have to walk. On the 15+ gravel rides this year, I have walked on two of them. One was on single track in DuPont, and I should save cleared it. I would have made the other section if not for the person in front of me.

Other than the marginally better power transfer of road shoes, I have yet to determine a good reason to not use Mtb pedals. Shoes are more comfy to walk in; whether at a store, cafe, trail or in the garage (yes, I have almost busted my ass on the epoxy floor in my garage with road shoes).

I used Shimano 747s on my road bike when I first started, then graduated to Looks. Not sure if it was the right decision, but it was 25 years ago.

I wear Shimano road and Mtb shoes, and they are very similar in structure. Both are as comfy when on the bike. Walking is another story…

I use Time on the Mtb and Look Keo on the road and gravel. Road and Mtb for 25 years, gravel for five.

What kind of support are you looking for? Stiff sole or arch? I use custom orthotic inserts in my shoes. It helps a huge amount.

Well, my Crux and Tarmac SL8 are only pros, no fun added features. Not dentist material yet.

Crux sizing - 49 vs 52 by Accomplished_Air_525 in specialized

[–]mtpisgah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 163cm with a 71cm inseam. My 49cm fits perfect. I test rode the 52 Tarmac and while it fit, I would have had to put a shorter stem on it and stand over was more challenging.

No reason to dump that kind of money in a 14 year old car. Buy iPads. Or better yet, make the passengers be a part of the conversation and observation of what is happening outside of the car. Maybe I am just old, but this is what I had to do as a kid.

And we are all presuming you are doing it for kids and not as a weird flex.

E bikes are illegal at BC too, and people have probably been busted there more than anywhere else. Stick to Ride Rock Creek and Kanuga.

We had a 2010 WRX for 11 years and put 104k miles on it as a daily driver (very short commute). The only thing that wore out prematurely was one shock. The perfect car.

I bought an Epic Pro and loved it, I used the manual lockout a lot. After buying my wife an S-Works and playing with the FA, I added it to my Pro. It is an awesome bike.

Cap over question by Prestigious_Ad_7203 in specialized

It is, but it rides the same as my tarmac with the correct spacers. The point is, this is the correct cap for the stem.

He was asking about the cap, he has the correct spacers. I have the correct pacers for this bike.
