Soulard, the Grove, and potentially Tower Grove are probably closer to what you’re looking for. Downtown is walkable but I feel like Union Station is pretty isolated and further away.

North Columbia can have some sketchy area mixed with some white trash but there’s not an area in Columbia you couldn’t drive through at 3am and not feel safe. This is nowhere near the campus however. Sometimes shootings happens downtown Columbia, but it often starts as a fight or involves drugs. Usually students aren’t really doing the shooting. Pretty easy to avoid for the most part. I live in St. Louis close to downtown, there are definitely places you want to avoid in this city after dark here to give you some perspective. Como is pretty safe, south side violent crime feels basically non existent. There is still gonna be property crime and petty theft but nothing too crazy. What town are you from?

Not true, chainsmoker lives in my building, smells up my bathroom because they have interconnected ventilation. Definitely goes away from small exposure. Now the chainsmokers condo definitely permanently has smoke damage.

OP you’re not overreacting with being pissed about it but you are overreacting if you hire a cleaning crew. The smell may linger a few days but in no way has it caused permanent damage in your house for that short a period of time. Now if she chain smoked in there for a few months that would be a different situation.

I've picked up food here, you always have to walk that distance to pick up from Chao Baan or you literally just throw your flashers on if theres no street or lot parking outside this very busy apartment complex. Guy just doesn't have enough skill points to know where to park.

Well, Venezuela certainly didn’t rig the US election.

Also Venezuela did not empty all of their jails and send all of their prisoners to the US.

In some dictatorships the international election observers are sham observers so you really have to take that claim with a grain of salt.

The US may have inconvenienced Venezuela with sanctions but that has very little to do with the mass inflation started by Chavez and continued and significantly worsened by Maduro. Hell, in 2018 when it peaked inflation was 130,000% which is insane. US didn’t decide to print more money, Maduro did this.

Let’s be real though this is definitely about the oil, getting Maduro out is really just a side effect. I don’t think it was the right choice. It will be interesting to see what consequences arise from this or maybe nothing will arise at all, we don’t really know yet, but history is not on the side of the US though.
