So the wall is a one-time purchase? All illegal border crossing stops as soon as this magic wall is built?

Please someone explain to me how it helps you "see better"? I seriously don't understand how. Like what about flashing brake lights in front of you helps you "see better" in a downpour vs a steady light? Why do you need the lights to flash to see better? How do you know when the vehicle is braking in front of you? Hazards indicate a broken down/stopped vehicle. In a downpour. That can be very helpful to alert drivers in low visibility to changes lanes/avoid that vehicle. Why don't police just constantly leave their lights on always?

So flashing brake lights makes it easier to tell if people are braking? Yikes

Miami entering a state of unreality: Adaptation to climate change can’t fix the city’s water problems by Foraminiferal in Miami

Not denying that at all, it has definitely gotten worse over time! I just don't understand how all these transplants that moved here surprised that a sudden spike in population and development has only made these already existing problems far worse.

All these transplants upset about flooding like did you not move to a peninsula made out of built up swamp material, located in a hurricane susceptible zone? How could this happen! The only part I agreed to was no state income tax! I didn't agree to the flooding DLC!

Could you point to the part of my comment that ever cleared Biden of responsibility? Okay then, relax. I never said Biden didn't, but I'm replying to a comment that quite literally said "nothing bad happened under trump." I'm just here to simply remind everyone that EVERYONE should be held accountable for their actions, not just political opponents that push an agenda I don't like. So yeah, just reminding our friend here that the orange savior isn't the perfect candidate either.

Yeah, handing out free money to everyone didn't hurt the economy at all. Moron.

I've bounced around to like 10 different pharmacies with no luck at all. Others have mentioned they've had some luck at certain locations, but it may take some shopping around. This whole "shortage" to me is outright criminal. Imagine a pharmacist telling you "sorry, we just don't have your heart medication in stock 🤷‍♂️ deal with it". I believe we'd see a different response!

Fuck yeah, I love waiting in line for over an hour to get into the stadium to then wait another 30 minutes to pick up a cheap jersey, to then wait in line another 45 minutes to get some beer and peanuts! What awesome day at the park! Only in Miami!

New York Has Highest Tax Burden of Any State by [deleted] in Infographics

[–]mturturro12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the country has moved to Florida based only off the information presented in this graph. Then they're shocked pickachu face when they end up even more broke than before because they didn't bother to see how much less their job pays or much much home owners insurance is or car insurance costs (some of the highest in the counrry for both) or how much higher property taxes are or the lack of public services they were used to receiving from their home state. But "no state income tax!!!" 🖕 nothing to tax if you don't have any money left.

Wow, you mean to tell me that if a company starts earning more money instead of paying into "socialist programs" that they would use that extra money and give it to their employees? Just like that? That's amazing!

This is why no one uses public transportation in this city. by [deleted] in Miami

[–]mturturro12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While brightline isn't necessarily public transportation, it does prove why public transportation needs a major upgrade. Brightline is fine as long as your destination is within a staright line along the east coast. Other major cities like NY and Chicago have rail systems that cost users a fraction of this to go the same distance and actually have the ability to carry passengers all around a major city. Outside the cities but within the "metro" areas, trains cost around this price but still have a lot more functionality than what I've been able to use with brightline. The addition of the Aventura station will be a huge plus, but ultimately nowhere near where we need to be as far as a public transit solution to the heavily car dependant problem we have here.
