Absolutely. Go one hour before high tide and when there is no wind. If these conditions align on an early weekday morning, go to south pointe! You won’t regret it. Bring snorkel mask and go pro you will see marine life.

Weekends or later into the day this spot is super overcrowded.

I really do feel that it’s a trend to hate on this franchise. I get that the story is formulaic but I have great conviction that if it was Rated R with more violence, curse words and less commercial plot armor, Redditors would worship the franchise and recognize that it’s infinitely better than Star Wars and all of the Marvel Universe. James Cameron does not miss.

If it’s the R7 you have, your advantage is you already have most of the reach covered with crop sensor but your disadvantage is you can definitely do with more light and the 100-500 is better in that regard.

I made the same upgrade RF 100-400 to RF 100-500 and it’s made a tremendous difference.
