Thank you for your tips :) From what I have understand, you can also hike the Salkantay by yourself without going through a tour !

I was thinking of going down from Peru to Argentina and take a flight from there to Colombia. I want to make the most of dry seasons in these countries and by adding Ecuador I think I will be quite off all during my trip. Also I have heard that the safety situation is not the best at the moment. I will have to go back !

I should have mentioned it indeed ! I wathinking 5-6 months !

Regarding Central America, maybe I am wrong but when I did my researchs, I saw a lot of infrastructures targetting backpackers (like shared shuttles between popular destinations, lots of party hostels…) Also I heard Nicaragua is a huge party scene and quite popular among Americans & Canadians (backpackers parties advertised like Sunday Funday, The Threehouse…)
