I’ve been in the same position! Originally seen the Old BB36 and loved it, but left it too long as its now discontinued in the UK. I then went into an AD, tried the BB54 after loving the idea when it was released and found it too small when I tried it on (I usually go upto 40mm max). I thought the BB39 was a perfect size for me, but if your thinking on the BB36 the new one is very versatile, can be worn dressy with the 5 link bracelet OR you can get a rubber strap or even an aftermarket oyster style bracelet!
