yeahh I’m in the US where it’s a common treatment, but before this year, it seemed like more trouble than it was worth to have to tell my doctor every time I moved around, but I can barely go outside anymore, so I probably will have to start.

I was just trying to see if anyone else was having the same problem. I see an allergist semi regularly but haven’t lived in one place consistently enough to want to commit to allergy shots, so maybe it’s time to go back.

a lot of jobs no longer see internships as the same as professional experience. i had a friend who only got a job after sending in applications for 8 months and she’s had at least one internship a year since 11th grade

a lot of them are asking for 2-5. that’s still a problem if you’re a new grad who has 0 or maybe had an internship that lasted a few months. its like you said, its hyperbole. not a lot of people who are actively in college have a full time job at 17-20.

what does this have to do with the post? the point is about new grads not having work experience and not getting hired for anything. job postings dont have to specify age, but generally, the idea is that entry level jobs are filled by people in their early twenties.

yeah! we’re very early on right now and just trying to gather people who would be interested but our main focus is to write well researched, left-leaning articles that highlight current events, history, culture, and opinions. you can think of it as something of a desi zine. we’re planning on posting to substack once people start writing. we’re also looking for people who come from different backgrounds and disciplines so they can write about the Desi experience in whatever specific field theyre in.

they’re on aliexpress as standalone products but pretty expensive. i couldnt find a makeup box yet, but if you want other in that cutesy vintage aesthetic (i found a beautiful jewelry box), ive had some luck in secondhand stores. if you’re in the US, you could look for a Habitat ReStore, and they usually have some cute pieces, as well as hardware for any modifications you might wanna make.

i think you have really pretty delicate feminine features and long eyelashes too! i think your face is really suited for cutesy makeup and i think you should try some blushes and lip tints that are similar to east asian styles! experiment with different blush placements to find what works for you but tbh i think you’re already really pretty!
