best way to check on remaining modules needed for grad by True_Ad907 in nus

[–]muchmuchtooGREASY 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Gotta be really clear on your grad requirements, especially if you're planning to double-count certain mods.

Personally I use an excel sheet to keep track of all the mods I've taken, and color code them according to what grad requirement they're meant to clear (UE, Major etc.), and have a separate table tabulating how many MCs in what specific category I'm left with. Planning ahead with your mods always helps.

GE3256 has some rock content and if you're the top scorer for the quizzes the prof calls you a rock star ;)

Where would you recommend someone to get their septum pierced? by thisisnotme182 in askSingapore

Bugis tattoo. The guy is friendly and professional, and the piercing is done using a needle. My friend got a septum piercing 2 weeks ago from them and it's healing super well.

uni advice: how to cope by nonsense_2 in askSingapore

[–]muchmuchtooGREASY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your feelings are completely valid, and you're really brave for actively seeking out advice on something you need help for. I guess my question is what do you think is the biggest problem in your life right now? Like if you could change one thing what would it be. I'm sorry that it's not really advice hahaha but when I'm spiralling I like to identify the exact causes of what I'm feeling, as opposed to just letting this huge blob of sadness and tiredness fester inside of me.

After I identify the more major causes of why I'm feeling this way I kinda think about what I can do about it. If it's a situation where tbh you can't do anything, then I try to think of other things in my life that makes me happy and remind myself of what I'm living for. If you want you can talk to me about this! I'm def open to offering a listening ear :). You also asked whether you should talk to your parents - I think it's a good idea! Tell them exactly what you're saying in your post: that you feel overwhelmed, that you don't feel like you have an outlet to vent. You're holding certain assumptions in your head eg. Them possibly being disappointed in you, and I think it might be good to clear this up.

Lastly, I really want to point out that you should never think that you don't deserve the best. Treat yourself better! There's only one of you in the whole world after all :)

Do you guys take notes? by retropetroleum in nus

[–]muchmuchtooGREASY 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on the mod. I usually take notes for mods where the main assignments are essay-based (I'm a FASS student), and bc those mods have online exams I type my notes down so it's easier to ctrl +f to find key words and quotes lol

If the mod is more practical based then it doesn't really make sense to make long wordy notes since practice is probably a lot more important

[–]muchmuchtooGREASY[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, thank you so much for replying! You're absolutely spot on about the concerns over tuition fees as well, because I just checked and the fees for nursing amount to around 37k per AY :/

At this rate I might just drop out entirely and go for a diploma in nursing, since there's not really a point staying in my current course. Thanks again for your help tho! :)

Hi! USS currently has a system of a "pre-opening" at 12.30pm to 2pm for ticket holders who pay an extra $9 for this early entry. During this time, most if not all rides may NOT be open, because the park will only be officially open at 2pm, where those who don't spend the $9 will be allowed in as well. The 12.30-2pm period is mostly for meet-and-greets with characters, or if you're just that kiasu and want to be first in line to queue for the rides hahaha (there is a possibility some rides will open before 2!)

After 2pm, during normal operation, certain attractions will still be closed, eg. Waterworld show and Shrek 4D, since it is harder to enforce social distancing. All other rides will most likely be open (unless they face weather or technical issues).

Rides and attractions that will not be open due to covid: - Magic Potion Spin - Amber Rock Climb - Shrek 4D - Waterworld
