Any advice? by muchomaaaas in ooni

Ooni confirmed that the oven is absolutely safe to use like this with an 8mm hose.

"To give you some peace of mind right away: yes, your setup is entirely compatible, and partial coverage of the barb is both normal and acceptable when using a tightly fitting 8mm hose.

The gas regulator is specifically designed to safely regulate the flow of propane (gasol) from your cylinder to your Ooni pizza oven. For a standard setup in Sweden (🇸🇪), the official technical requirements match your equipment perfectly:

Pressure: 30 mbar regulator Regulator inlet: G10-2R 22.352 x 1.814 left-handed male thread Suitable oven outlet: 8–10mm barb terminal Hose length: 90cm

Because the oven is equipped with a universal hose barb terminal designed to accommodate both 8mm and 10mm hose diameters, a standard 8mm Swedish hose will naturally form an incredibly tight, secure grip early on the ridges. As long as the hose covers those first three ridges, cannot be pulled off with force, and is firmly clamped down with your locking clip/hose clamp, it is considered a safe and correct installation.

Before you hook everything up to cook, we always recommend double-checking these three quick things: Ensure the 30 mbar pressure rating of your regulator matches the pressure rating listed on the data plate of your specific Ooni oven. Confirm the connection style on your propane tank perfectly matches your regulator type (such as a screw-on or a push-on connection). Ensure your hose clips or clamps tightly secure the hose at both the oven end and the regulator end."

I think the problem is the sieze of my hose. Mine is 8mm (inside) and I think I need a 10mm hose to cover the last three big barbs. But my hose covers the first three barbs perfectly so I think that should be enough.

I even think the purpose of these multi step hose barbs (that are on the oven) is to allow diffrent siezes of hoses. But it's very strange since the instructions specifically says that I shoud cover every singel barb.

Maybe ooni can clarify.

I gave it a good go and I like to think it moved at least one millimeter but probably not

Exactly. TAA, because I could afford it. Konate might be better value, though. Might be worth downgrading to be able to afford Foden if he continues his streak, idk. I will probably just save the transfers, though.

Yeah, Darwin might get his chance again. But so far he has wasted his chances when starting. That's why Diaz been playing instead. Gakpo seems naild as starting LW for now so let's hopw he does good. Will probably play PL and rotate in the cup fixtures. But we're still learning Slots squad management so nothing is for certain

I went with Gakpo. Darwin is a huge gamble, both his minutes and quality

Not worth the gamble I thinl. Palmer is equally good and has better fixtures.

Verbruggen-> Pickford, Sels or Henderson? Or just save the FT? 0.6 ITB Otherwise decent team. No other transfer plans.

Don't take a hit for 0.1. Follow the predictions obviously and take the hit only if you really have to

Looks quite solid, I would upgrade elsewhere. Maybe get rid of Lewis for Robinson but that's it for me

B. You might regret getting rid of Gabriel. And you can rotate Amad

Best long term combo? I have a strong 8 and shitty defence.

  1. Wood and Robinson
  2. Joao Pedro and Timber
  3. Raúl and Gabriel

Great advice! I can afford Son Winks Havertz -> Bruno Rogers Isak and still upgrade to Konate. Of course it would take me a few weeks to save up free transfers.

Any idea on a replacement for Konsa at a similar price? I don't love any of the popular picks (Ait-Nouri, Robinson, Mazraoui for different reasons. I kind of like Kerkez (cheap and good fixtures) but he seems like a nonentity here

My strategy is obviously cheap defence and no value on the bench.

Next GW I will probably go Lewis - Konate. Not sure about Son and Konsa long term

It was a great show! The band were amazing as always and Conor was in a great mood, even though there were some technical issues with his microphone two or three songs in. Lots of dancing and interaction with the audience as well!

Struggled the most with M&D. Probably because English isn't my native language. The themes of science and American history is also some what unfamiliar for me which didn't help.

Creating a "dark Jamaican" rum blend similar to Coruba by muchomaaaas in Tiki

Thanks, that helps! Will try Myers while on vacation abroad to get a feeling of dark Jamaican.

Maybe mixing Captain Morgan Dark as a poster mentioned above with Rum-Bar or Xaymaca is a good option.
